  1. Ill only buy a pmp if i can get at least 10 hours of vid playback..kinda liked the creative pmp..zen something...would have bought that instead of the HD5 if it had better play time
  2. I remember some years ago i sent an email to Philips Malaysia asking them if this PCDP i was interested in had digital/optical line out. Her reply went along the lines of the player not being able to support any forms of downloads as it was just capable of playing audio cds totally out of context, out of anything but utter stupidity I sent her another email saying my question had nothing to do with her reply and she sent one back asking me to call and explain to her what i meant by digital/optical line out. sigh..shes working in an electronics firm where she could easily ask any of her work mates and such....pride makes idiots and vice versa

    Joke

dont know if this has been told here but i got this off the net: Cchuck Norris Goes to the Virgin Islands. They are now called. 'the islands'
  4. not too sure, could be an active auction too...try finding it out in ebay uk
  5. forgot all bout that...should be less than 40 euros...remember seeing it on ebay uk for around 30euros its a round the neck type if im not wrong..reviews for it has been good too if i remember correctly then theres the Panasonic RP-HJE70..top of the line..qualitywise not too sure..i think audiocubes.com has it
  6. dont know how much is it in euros but it should be in your price range. Standard earphones, Check out Sennheiser MX-500..brilliant mids, typical sennheiser sound, clear and spacious and really cheap. But stay away if youre into heavy bass. To me, i use it only when im working (like right now) coz it comes with a volume control thingy For in-ear types check out Panasonic RP-HJE50(i use this for travel and leisure) and/or Creative EP-630. the latter is supposedly better but its a Y-cord type. The pana is your typical Sony round-the-neck type(one side longer than the other). Both are said to be better than sony.
  7. Almost all the genres under punk, rock and metal (preferbly old school stuff; none of that linkin park or nu metal stuff), Ambient/chill out music , trip-hop, Jazz, Blues, some Latin music (Salsa, Samba etc), a bit of J-pop (Currently exploring it. Recommendations anyone?), abit of 80s/90s or anything before that and adult contemporary pop music. LOL..i thought Jazz was supposed to calm people down
  8. try GYM its in the downloads section
  9. try this prog: tag and rename http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm
  10. Thanks for all the replies. i use perfect disk and ill see how it goes after a couple of months if i should defrag it...thanks again=)
  11. Seeing as to how the HD5 is a HDD player and not flash base(i heard flash players or thumb drives should never be defragged..true?), would it be safe to defrag the HD5 once in a while? Has anyone tried it?
  12. not too sure bout that...but the track listings were correct before. it just happened one fine day. there was this one time where i dumped my player on the bed after unplugging it from the pc..that messed up the database...just restarting the player solved that...but i dont remember that messing up the track lists
  13. The other day i had a couple of albums (both in mp3 formats..no idea bout atrac files yet) in my HD5 with the track order mixed up (I.E: song #1 ends up as song #5). but in SS 3.1 and mp3 file manager it shows the track listings are in the correct order. does anyone know what could be wrong? i just deleted them off and re-copied them back into the player..but still..can be a lil bit irritating esp when im not anywhere near the pc
  14. I Bought The Panasonic RP-HJE50 last sunday and...well...since its my first in ear (was using sennheiser mx-500 before) its kinda funny..most of the time..i dont really know if im supposed to shove the thing into my ear canal or just let it stay a lil more on the outside..this seems to get better isolation and lows than the former sound wise, its not too bad..but its not as clear as the mx-500, of course thats my opinion.. The highs can be a little bit on the harsh side and the lows muddy when i tried it out the first time..i havent really burned them in yet...as i only use them after work unlike the senns..but it does seem to get better and better...of course i am aware that it could be a placebo effect here...have no real complains bout the mids tho. The bottom line is..if yorue into thumping bass and such..get sony and dont bother with this one... to be fair you CAN get a better and complete review at head-fi.org or head to this site: http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread.php?t=1163140 i bought my pannys based on the reviews here and head-fi its a chain cord thingy..so the right side is longer than the left..meant to go round your neck...handy when you need to take it off as the cord would just rest on the back of your neck as opposed to the sennheisers (Y cord). its about 0.5m (good for remotes) and comes with a 1m extension and this makes it kinda messy if you know what i mean
