Wich series are the Walkman Display Screens for? Is it possible using them on newer models like NW-80* Series or NW-S70* Series? Thx for replies..

Hm.. i really think you should call sony UK and ask what to do.. I think youll get a new pair of speakers.. bought mine in a electronic store too and send my walkman directly to sony. so usually it should be work.. just call them tomorrow and post what they told you

I think you have to contact SONY anyway .. the MDR-NC022 are not available for sale .. so you have to ask them to send you some or send the MP3 player to SONY UK .. do you live in europe? so it shoud not be too expensive.

Had this problem too.. at least twice It starts with a lack of volume and a noticable downgrade of NC and endet with the fact that NC faild to work and the left and the second thime the right headphone channel didn't work anymore (at least there was still some sound but it was so silent ..). I returned the Headphones only, kept the player ('ve used it with some cheaper SONY in-ears..think the Sony MDR-EX 71. Of course it's not, for years, as good as the NC Earphones.. but hey..ull survive it for some weeks), and get some new NC's for 2 times . I think SONY 've needed 3 or 4 weeks. Send the player to sony for a 3rd time, because the original prtection skin was not okay and there was some sand between the skin and the player (nasty scratches). get new headphone for a thrid time and they even removed the scratches and renewd the Walkman AND SONY logo as well as the 3 way button. Really great job by sony You shuld try that too

so.. we're waiting for a repost - otherwise - if the EQ setting isn't changed form the standart one maybe the headphones are broken.. OR - what happend to me once - the speakers microphones.. it sounds terrible

Well.. the NW-A80* Series and thne NWZ-81* Series or only virtually the same. There are different programms on it (as far as i know the NZW doesn't have the intelligent stuff, doesn't play ATRAC and isn't seen by SonicStage.. so this changes a lot ..). But i could also imgine that Sony dosn't realese a new frimware for the older NW series, because they want to present something new like: "Look - Sony is able to learn and we can also give a fuc* to ATRAC and SonicStage. And furthermore we got de best devices ever and we'll beat IPod" (okay ignore the part with the IPod's) I just think that Sony thinks (and they're also right), that a firmware upgrade is not as popular as a new player. Just imagen: would you buy an MP3-Player, if the salesman tells you, to install an upgrade because the device isn't able to drag and drop otherwise? I Wouldn't - but accutaly i like ATRAC
