Plej - Electronic Music From the Swedish Left Coast

It's coming in November, and I agree with you that it is very attractive. While I won't be spending $2,000 anytime soon on this device (I have a PS3 and two BR players are redundant in my configuration), it is definitely probably going to blow the doors off with its ES quality components.

After using Firefox for almost five years, I have made the switch to Google's new Web-browser - Chrome. I never thought I'd see the day where I uninstall Firefox, but after using Chrome for a few minutes I knew it was time to transition. It isn't perfect, and struggles sometimes when you have 10-20 tabs going, but I love it. What do you think?

Check it out: http://www.sonyinsider.com/2008/08/12/sony...g-sony-insider/ Also, while this isn't officially official, I will be writing guest blog posts on the Sony Electronics Blog. Things are definitely getting very interesting with Sony's interest in the site - stay tuned.

That's a great find, and I have never seen that before. I will post it to the website soon. Thank you.

It always fascinates me when people visit the site from countries other than my own. I was actually raised in Ireland, however, in a town called Skerries which is a bit north of Dublin. It was an amazing experience and I would give anything to visit where I grew up all over again. Have you lived there all your life?

Well, since no one else is really posting yet I'll go ahead and take the first step. I know its weird to start fresh at a new bulletin board, but I hope that this community becomes very active. I would love to put thousands of forum posts here like I have in the past at other sites. With all of the topics we can cover, hopefully there will be no void in communication. I'm obviously the founder of Sony Insider, and previous website ventures such as Minidisc Community Forums and ATRACLife which some of you may have participated at. 24 years old and pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing at KSU near Atlanta, Georgia. Hoping to work for Sony or some other large company as a professional blogger or Internet press relations. I'm not a die hard Sony fanboy but I have a lot of Sony products, and I wish to enable others the ability to see the company isn't as bad as people put it out to be. Other than that, I drive an '06 Jetta GLI which I love to death, have a very great girlfriend and live a relatively simple life. I love to watch sports in HD, go to baseball games and do stuff outside. I spend alot of time on the computer for work (real life job, not this website), so running a website is a natural extension of my day to day routine. So when I'm able to go out and do something with friends its usually a treat. Road trips are great, but I always get afraid of speeding tickets. I guess I'm just a pretty average guy. Please tell me about you, and make it good. Lets really get to know each other, I want this forum to be different than any others that you've ever been to.

Thanks, guys.

Just send me a private message with what you want your password to be and I'll change it accordingly. Also, looks like avatars aren't working, I'll fix that in a little bit.
-
Good to see its working. I'll have the forum software updated later today and see what else I can do. I know I've been invisible guys, but I've been working hard on Sony Insider these days and lots of other things in life. I hope all is well and I think about you guys all the time.
-
I'm aware of the problem and investigating accordingly. Stand by. Avatars aren't working. Anything else you guys can spot? My Controls and messages are working for me. Help me out, guys.

All I can say is that I made a really serious mistake today trying to install something new for the forums. Basically, it's a centralized log-in system that would allow people who have registered here to have a registration in place already for the new forums at Sony Insider. Well, I uploaded things wrong and totally screwed up the SQL database and some other things. Thankfully, Invision Power Board support is absolutely incredible and fixed the problem. So, phew. p.s. Please report any problems.

There is a link, that I will make a little more easier to spot upon first glance. It's currently below the Sony Insider forums logo at the top on the black bar.

Thank you for signing up and supporting us! It is really amazing to get a response from someone so far away. Do you have a picture of your area? I love South America, it is a really beautiful country.

Hello, Just wanted to take this opportunity to write the first topic on the forum and say welcome to the forums of Sony Insider. I look forward to a large community and intelligent discussion. See you around!

Welcome to your new Invision Power Board! Congratulations on your purchase of our software and setting up your community. Please take some time and read through the Getting Started Guide and Administrator Documentation. The Getting Started Guide will walk you through some of the necessary steps to setting up an IP.Board and starting your community. The Administrator Documentation takes you through the details of the capabilities of IP.Board. You can remove this message, topic, forum or even category at any time. Go to the documentation now...

Yeah, sorry about that - I thought I had renewed the domain in time but I hadn't. :x
-
Lets see what I can do to fix it, eh? Update - we will be adding a new 4.3 installer to the downloads section soon.
-
I registered Sony Insider (.com). It's all mine, no worries.

Forum has been upgraded to Invision 2.3.

Great find. I've started a News topic about this here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=19221

The New York Times has a thoughtful piece (with audio samples) regarding Christopher DeLaurenti, a Minidisc enthusiast who employs stealth recording techniques to capture the seldom heard moments of intermission in orchestral concerts. Thanks, andrelipinski.

Steven Redding points out an interesting TechNewsWorld article about how competition from non-DRMed AAC (via iTunes) and MP3's patent costs have the potential to end MP3's reign.
