  1. It would be interesting if they allowed direct download of secure content via the PSP browser. I emailed Connect support regarding the issue of ZIP files and the PSP browser. We'll see what they say. I also noticed a category for "eBooks" alongside "PSP Video" and "Music Store". I'd like to see more content come our way!
  2. I saw this update yesterday and am intrigued by the improvments in the site. Granted, they don't have a lot of what I'm looking for (thankfully there's Beatport.com for that!), but it's definitely an upgrade in looks and usability. I do think they should offer user-reviews and they could make search results a little easier to read. As far as the PSP goes, I think they need to do something there... I tried to visit the psp.connect.com from my PSP and I couldn't download video directly from the device. Why? Because all the links default to zip files which are downloaded from PC, extracted then copied to MS Duo (Pro). They should make the site realize it's the PSP browser and offer direct downloads available - or do it via a video RSS feed. I would love to see them offer video support within SS at some point and manage video for the PSP too (purchased videoes, etc.), but I don't know when we'll see that, if ever.
  3. This is an option as well, from sonystyle.com. Listed as an accessory for the NW-Exxx series, but should work fine for the RH1 as well. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....AC%2fDCAdapters You can also get additional USB AC adapters here: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....AC%2fDCAdapters
  4. I don't believe I've seen these features yet, but I think they would prove useful: - "Watched" folders. Good for those who download podcasts and want them auto-added to the SS Library. Or just for people who rip CD's using something other than SS, but want those files imported more easily. Note: I do see a "Scan Folders" option that sort of does this, but I don't think it's automatic upon startup yet. - I must reiterate the issue of backing up the library and the inordinate amount of time and space it takes to do so. I'm really hoping future versions of SS will somehow alleviate this problem. - Being able to see how large my entire libary is (ala iTunes). On a side note, Dynamic Playlists will show you # of tracks, hours:minutes:seconds and space, but not regular playlists. Interesting. - Dynamic Playlists: Decent start, but I think they could benefit from a more rules-based type setup. I'm thinking of the filters I use in my email (Mozilla Thunderbird) where there is a list of criteria to select from. Also, ordering of tracks within Dynamic playlists is a pain right now. - Search: I'd like to see a search bar always available on-screen somewhere, not just when I have "all tracks" view enabled.
  5. Old Skool Euphoria (Mixed by Altern 8) - 2x CD set judgement sundays (the true sound of ibiza) - judge jules 2x CD set
  6. Running XP Media Center Edition @ home Fedora Core 4 on my work notebook (Thinkpad T43)
  7. Does anyone have a recommendation for a carrying case for the RH1? I used to have this belt case when I had the MZ-N10, before I gave it and the case to a friend of mine: http://www.minidisco.com/Servired-LC-RN9?s...amp;category=24 I'm wondering if that case would work or if there are other options people have found.
  8. I do wonder why they have a section in the menu to even be able to view the FW version on the RH1, especially if they never expect to allow user-firmware upgrades.
  9. Animaniacs Vol. 1 DVD Pinky & The Brain Vol. 1 DVD Ghostbusters I & II (hey, it was $10 total!)
  10. My copy of LocoRoco just arrived today! I've made it through the first world tonight... wow, it's so wacky and so fun. Definitely will be going back to try and best my scores and find more secrets. Wonder what the rest of the US market will think once it officially arrives here in September.
  11. Just ordered the following albums online: - Old Skool Euphoria - Judgement Euphoria (Mixed by Judge Jules) ; yes, the spelling of judgment is wrong. Should arrive next week.
  12. Only Dance: 1985 - 1989 (Various Artists) Track on now: Glenn Frey - The Heat is On
  13. Just ordered my very own RH1 (black) from minidisco.com earlier today! Should arrive sometime next week.
  14. Just ordered this game from play-asia.com over the weekend. I got an email notification today saying the game shipped. I'm very much looking forward to this game! Hopefully it arrives this week.
  15. Been a while since I've checked this thread, so some of these purchases are a bit out-dated, but here goes: July - Just ordered "LocoRoco" for the PSP (via play-asia.com). Expecting arrival by end of next week or sometime the week after. :-) June - Sony DSC-T9 Cybershot digital camera ... in black! - Sandisk 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for above camera - Additional battery for above camera - (15) TDK Bit Club blank MD's (yellow with arrows pointing up) - 10 TDK XS-iV blank MD's from Design Line series, one of each of the following: Girotondo, Devrialem, Bow Wow Wow, Alien Rock, Pincuore, Brain Storm, MINIstry DISC, Happy Cyclop, one 74 min. plain XS-iV disc and one 80 min. plain XS-iV disc. April (I think) - Sony w810i Walkman cell phone (why oh why couldn't it support ATRAC too?)
  16. Discs just arrived today. I have one of each of the ones Ishi has photographed, plus the "Girotondo" that isn't seen here, but in GregTheRotter's gallery. I shall post photos later tonight (hopefully) in a separate pictorial, pre and post wrapper.
  17. In a little over a week, I'm heading off to Europe (for the first time in my life!) Making stops in London (one day), Austria, France and Ireland. Other stops may happen, but none scheduled right now. Going on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks. Definitely looking forward to it.
  18. I stopped in my local SonyStyle store (Woodfield Mall - in the Chicago burbs) and they didn't have any MD units out... a week or two ago they had the DH10P out for less than $300. No carrying cases, no RH910 or RH10 either. Still had blank MD's, of course. But it was disconcerting to see even my local Sony store not stocking the units.
  19. I heard an estimated price of $350 from minidisco.com... we'll see how close the price is when it is actually released.
  20. I love the incredibly unique design of these discs... so much so I started a quest for my own. I found a UK site that supposedly has them and said they could ship the discs to me, even though I'm here in the US. Pic they have here: http://www.blankshop.co.uk/images/tdkxsivDESIGNER.jpg I'm looking forward to having these in my hands, hopefully this week.
  21. Can you show us a screenshot of this in action? How does SB handle where to upload the tracks?
  22. Anyone with the RH1 confirm that this version of SS works with non Hi-MD uploading?
  23. Currently: Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" Album - currently on cassette until I have a chance to record to MD.

Just found a Europe press release for this new software along with a mini-announcement for the NW-A1200 (8GB model). http://www.sony-europe.com/view/View.actio...ssReleaseDetail This is most interesting... if you read the PDF press release, you find the NW-A1200 will have AAC playback capabilities! Much like the Sony Ericsson Walkman phones... Too bad it doesn't list compatibility with those devices yet (I have a SE w810i). It does state audio versions of mp4 and 3gp files, but for what purpose? What devices would support these formats? Only time will tell I suppose.. or people in the know.
