  1. The silicone case we have works just fine with the USB cable attached. Did you buy the brand I recommended, or a different one?
  2. It seems to be holding up well and she's had it since christmas. Most of the time, she just tosses it into her purse. I haven't noticed any gouges or scratches on the skin. As far as the company goes, I like them a lot. I ordered this for her and got it UPS within a couple days.
  3. There are places you can buy the Media Center seperatly, namely when buying certain pieces of hardware, such as a TV tuner card. If you have XP Pro, just find a way to get the Media Center and install that. That's what I did.
  4. all those things are pretty much automatic in SonicStage 3.4
  5. I read someone is developing an ATRAC codec for Winamp, so that might be an option for you.
  6. I would use the VIAO Transfer/Sony Tunes (or whatever they call it now) program to do that.
  7. My girlfriend is using this one on her MD5 right now. She has the pink skin on her red player. With the case on it, you barely even notice a difference in size. And it does its job too. Nw-HD5 FlexiSkin
  8. I'd hold onto your money for a bit if you can, because it seems like sony is going to be making a whole new line of players really soon. With the dicontinuation of the HD5 and the bean, bigger and better things are probably on the way. I've read that sony may have 4 "competing" devices out at once, with Walkman, VAIO, Sony-Erricson and PSP divisions all working on new high-capacity video/audio/photo devices.
