btw, i just checked the size specifications for the nhf800 and it seems to be 3 CENTIMETRES!!! is that the thickness of the whole unit? or just the thickness of the battery holder? (like me mz-r500 has a slight bulge at the battery connector area) i definately cannot buy the 800 if the whole unit is 3 centimetres..... there was no side view in the screenshot area, so i'd have no clue how this compares in size to my mz-r900...

well backlights turn on when u press a button on the remote, the light goes on for 2-3 seconds then automatically turns off, there is no on/off button for the light =) btw, does anyone know when these new machines will be released in Australia? or are they already out?

yep going to get it, i was going to go for the NH900 but it costs 100 dollars more (according to pulse mag) so i'll just go for the NHF800 because it has most of the NH900's features. the extra's that i would like from the NH900 are the digital amp and the metal body but those aren't really much of a concern for me. =) thanks!

according to the australian pulse mag (latest issue) the mznh800 remote comes with a remote featuring am/fm tuner. however it did not state that there was a backlight. i looked at the mznh900 model and it clearly stated that the 900 comes a BACKLIT remote. according to this md site, the MZ-NH800 comes with a backlit remote, is that completely correct? and will the 800's remote come with backlighting in australia? thx for your time.

In most cases the rainbow coloured lcd is due to exposure to the sun, or constant pressure being applied to the screen... it does get annoying but no remedy unless u wanna go send it back and ask them to replace the screen for u.

I've heard u use these connectors to enable functionality of a remote... i would like to know if any1 here has successfully worked it or not. Since the mzr501 has no port for a remote, i would love to find out that these connectors are for a remote... thanx! =)
