theres no earphone which can compete with my mdr-7502
-
theres a bit of movement on the hi-md section of www.sonystyle.com.au the nhf800 to nh1 have been pulled off the site, possible preparation for the 2nd generation hi-md?
-
lol, the bass depth for ipods isn't as good as sony minidisc. The equaliser settings for the ipod distort the sound, there are ways to fix that by pre-equalising your mp3's but then the music becomes soft and you have to boost the volume, so too much effort required on that part. minidisc look way kewler than ipod growing trend in sydney is that many people are starting to buy those solid state mp3 players as their tiny, im my own experience they also lack bass compared to md so md for me =)
-
$475 dollars? thats a good deal.. the cheapest in sydney is ~599-699 =P Hopefully the pricing of the 2nd gen hi-md will be reasonable.
-
has anyone directly compared a md/hi-md to the iriver ifp-700 series? just wondering about the bass of the iriver model in particular because i already own a md and its got good bass, but now my friends bday comin up and i wanna get her a iriver cuz its priced significantly lower than md's
-
lol, ok now back to one of the main question i had asked previously... are 2nd generation hi-md units coming out in Australia?
-
Amen to that.
-
lol, well here in sydney, or at least the area i'm in lots of people are keen to buy md's they just don't have the cash.. importing from e-stores is significantly cheaper, though people avoid e-stores because of security scares etc. lets just hope sony will release this 2nd generation into austalia. if prices are low"ered" i'm sure that the md market will be revived in australia..
-
the partial reason why the hi-md units are so expensive because sony tell u that they GIVE you for FREE this bonus pack, which includes this electret microphone, 10x 80min md's and a quick charger. Apparently they've already integrated this FREE pack into the cost of the minidisc unit itself . So that would explain the high prices... looks like we'll have to by our md's from minidisc.com.au now
-
well.. i guess the minidisc's sold in Australia are overpirced... 800 dollars for mznh1 =S but if the 2nd gen units are cheaper, u might see changing trends in Australia . I have yet to see an mp3 device outmatch sony's superior bass (sold in Australia of course)
-
so the 2nd generation hi-md units aren't coming out in australia? darn.. i really wanted that rh-10 =(
-
i'm getting RH10 for sure! and is it me? or did the text appear thru the metal for the screenshot of the rh10? the rh710 looked so ugly, whats up with that design? i was hoping for "more" professional designs like the r900, nh1.
-
i think sony are making a loss.. they now include 10 80min md discs on their top 2 hi-md players (mznh-900/1 BUNDLE ) and five free 80min mds with every other hi-md model which is good for us ppl who love md's =) btw, is that included carry pouch the same as the felt bag i got with my mzr-900 ??
-
erm, i was referring to the nh900 + the attached battery case, giving it around 35 hrs playback versus the 17 hours the nh1 provides.
-
its cool. i was going to get the nh1, but the battery life is rather short. the mz-e10 provided long battery life but since the battery is embedded, you can't replace it (well i wouldn't want to ) half metal/plastic sounds ok to me
-
you're telling me that the nh-900 is completely plastic???!!
-
uhh, while we're on the topic of the nh900, i would just like to know if the back half of the nh900 casing is aluminium or plastic. thx.
-
lol, i always thought that that black remote with no lcd was more sexy
-
so... australia gets their models from...
-
yeah, pics are proof enough for me.. btw about the nh-700's they don't appear to have a VPT accoustic engine, now i want to know whether that makes music sound a lot better or is it just a minor feature? i could save 200 AUD here and get a non-backlit remote =) otherwise, its nh900 for me
-
and the half plastic/alloy construction hehe
-
hmm.. yeah, i was also under the impression that the nhf800's don't come with a backlight.. otherwise they would stress in their specifications list a "backlit" lcd remote with tuner functions hehe. so now i guess i'll have to take one step up and get the nh900 just for the backlit remote... =(
-
can anyone that actually owns a nhf800 confirm that the remote supplied with the nhf800 has a backlight?
-
are the nhf800's out yet?
-
oh so, only the battery section got a bulge, i guess thats ok thx
