Is there other places to buy a japanese model of NH1 other than AudioCubes and Japan Direct? I want to spend as little as possible to get the Jap model of NH1.

Source that NH1 is made in Japan for all markets? Plus...I need a jap model NH1 since most of my songs are in Japanese.

I emailed MiniDisc Canada again to confirm that their MD units are made in malaysia...and a rep from MD Canada replied with "All MD units are made in Malaysia" <---- :wacky: But the other day i emailed sony canada and us, they said that sony in each country is respoonsible for sales/support(and making their own units). Which one is right????

What is the difference between US/CAN and Jap models of MD Players/Recorders?

I want to get a japan made model of NH1, I was going to buy from MiniDisc Canada until i found out that their units are made in Malaysia, I wouldn't mind American made or Canada Made, but the only places I know where to get those are Sony.com and Sony.ca and their prices are ridiculous. So if anyone know where i can order/buy jap version of NH1 then please post it here. Also I wouldnt mind if you posted where to buy American, Canada made models too. Thanks in advance.

In order to answer my question from before *Are The Hi-MD Units Being Released In North America Going To Be Made In Japan?* I've emailed Sony.ca, Sony.com, and MiniDisc Canada(Where I Intended to buy my NH1 from once it is released) The results i get are as follows and I'm pretty disappointed. I dont think they have an actually store, they have a *online store* though. Check it out here http://www.minidisc-canada.com/ You can see NH1 in the main page, even though the starting price isnt much cheaper than the other stores(perhaps even a bit more expensive), but it all comes down to shipping cost+tax. MiniDisc Canada only charges little for them. This is going to be the first time that I'm ordering from them, so these info is told by the MiniDisc Canada themselves.

I'm planning on getting mine from MiniDisc Canada, I've calculated the final cost, it would come out to be $553 CDN after shipping and 7% tax, I've decided to buy from there because they have good customer reviews and they ship to Canada and that they guarentee that the product will arrive within 1 week. Although other sites may also ship to Canada but I know the shipping cost would be very expensive and might be taxed when going through customs and it would take longer to get here. Where are you planning to order from?

if you go to www.ebay.com or www.ebay.ca (i went to .ca) and go to search and type "nh1" you can find mz nh1, eh1 and many other unreleased Hi-MD models being sold...at a very high price though.

i want to know whats good about the NH1 and whats bad about it. and how does it compare to the N900 and where can i buy the remotes seperately?

From the posted above, which ones can ship to Canada? i see that Buy Rite has a cheap price compared to where i was planning to order from.(MiniDisc Canada) but im not sure of BuyRite ships to Canada or not and what are the policies for shipping to Canada if Available?

i'm new to this MD stuff, this would be the first time i'll be purchasing a digital music player/recorder and i've chosen MD(Hi-MD...was thinkin about an Ipod earlier until i found out about Hi-MD) anyways...i cant decide which one i want, but its either the NH1 or N900 so i need someone to list a few things for me. Opinions are welcomed too. One question...do the remotes of MD-Players sell seperately? i dont like the shape of the NH1 remote, i woudl rather have a stick one. Whats the difference between the new remote and the old stick remote?(say compared to that of the N10) thanks in advance. :happy:
