I have had an issue where my sony memory stick drivers where conflicting with Sonic Stage. But I updated the drivers for my memory stick device and all is well now. So be warned if you use other Sony products it may conflict.

Have you tried to repair it? Or you can make a USB adapter for cheap with the parts from your destroyed one. Ther is a guide in this forum on how to make a USB power adapter. Or maybe a universal power supply will work.

Sonicstage is better than realplayer, but sometimes I wonder if it might be easier to write to the disc by hand one bit at a time. The netMD needs a good swift kick in the disc. Like a new encoding kick or a good pummel from an update.

If listening to audio books than it makes sense to use the bookmark feature. The bookmark feature is like a save point it will save where you are at on the minidisc without making a track mark on the disc itself. And the cool thing about the bookmark feature is that you can have more than one. So if you are like me and read or listen to more than one book at a time you can have a seperate bookmark for each one you are listening to.

I have the same aspire case with the temp display on the front. I've had it for about a year now and it works fine. Mine doesn't have the six leds on the fornt but it did come with the blue fan. The case fit all the parts ok, but I had to replace the fan with one that has bearings. I also took some thumd screws off of an old 286 computer case and put those on the side panels so I wouldn't need a screw driver to get to the guts. Mine came with a cheap power supply(350 watts), I got the case with the power supply for $38.00 off of newegg. It's not that well built of a case but if you want to get a better built one you have to spend alot more. Evercase makes an awsome case for a good price. the evercases are totaly screw less, including drive bays, and are well built. There not much to look at, but I have seen a couple of them built and thay are a very good case, better in quality than my aspire but not as cool looking. I think that as long as you don't mount your motherboard in a kleenex box with a power supply consisting of a hamster wheel and a generator, you'll be fine. As long as you like what you have. I've seen a case made with an ant farm in the side window. And a case made out of pvc pipe. Good luck on the build. Use the ZIF socket wisely.

Polotics and minidisc are alot alike. They spin in continous circles and the only tracks that play are the ones you want to hear. And like Sonic Stage; they are flawed and corrupted to the point of total frustration by end user's. Maybe I need a Sonic Stage anger relief forum.

If they use UPS you can track your shipment online. They also provide a map based on your location that will show ETA. If you don'e have the tracking or shipping number you might have to call and find out what it is. I used the UPS tracking system to follow my mz-nf810ck from original departure to arrival in my town. I had to check it every couple of hours becouse I could'nt wait for it to arrive. So I find tracking to be more stressful, but if you have patience it should atleast boost your confidence on a safe arrival.

Is there a hack to make the UK Sony MZ-N10 louder
mr.java replied to dmistry2004's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
I think you are stuck with the 2mw + 2mw. That is what they put on the main board. You could use a seperate headphone amp, but I don't think you can magicaly up the power of the built in amp. If there is a hack I have not seen it in the fourms. -
Minidisc for president.

I like an outside point of view. Maybe thats what we need. I wonder if they listen to minidiscs?

I like them all. The newer albums keep getting more and more complex. I have a clip of them on SNL that shows them using a weird instrument that looked like a giant switch board and it made some cool sounds. I can send it to you if you like. The one I listen to the most is the live one. I can't remember what it is called but it is live and kicks ass. The vocals are supreme and the music is so technical it must be amazing to see.And it does'nt skip when I hit bumpy sigletrack on the mountain bike. Minidisc is sweet. The forums are getting better, the speed has increased in the last month. I can tell the difference on my 1.5MB DSL connection. The new theme is cool, I like the colors. The index is also very easy to follow and should help newbies (like me) post in the apropriete topics. I dig the view since last visit option. jonnyrobato@yahoo.com

Did not no about post since last visit feature. Sorry, I wasn't bitchin about the forums they are awsome. Thanx for the tip. Keep up the good work. Much appriciated.

Much cleaner look. I like it very much. Kurisu is making my minidisc experience much more enjoyable. I liked the karma points and would give you one if I could. The only thing I noticed is that it is harder to tell new posts or replies becouse the color stays the same. It would be cool if new posts and replies flashed in a different color so you can scroll through the forum and spot the different color at a glance instead of looking for the pulsating icon. But either way this forum kicks ass and Kurisu is on top of it. Thanx for the Forum, Jon M. LaBato PS>Radiohead does sound good on minidisc.

I'm 23 and just got my first MD player (mz-nf810ck) a few weeks ago. It kicks ass. I'm glad my mp3 cd player bit the dust. The only prob is that minisdisc is not used by enuf people.

The only thing I can say is the early nineties rocked. Jane's Addiction- Ritual De Lo Habitual Soundgarden- Badmotorfinger Nirvana- Nevermind Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine Pearl Jam-TEN Red Hot Chili Peppers-Blood Suger Sex Magic Faith No More- Angle Dust Metalica-Black Album Ministry-Psalm69 The Crow- Soundtrack Temple of the Dog-Hungry? Sonic Youth Radiohead-Creep Stone Temple Pilots-Plush Blind Melon-No Rain Primus-Suck on This L7 Rollins Band-?Lier I owned all of these on cassete or CD at one time or another. I still have my original Pearl Jam Ten cd and listen to it all the time.Soungarden Badmotorfinger was my first cd purchase in 91-92. All of the above are great for riding on powder days or doin a little singletrack Mtn. bike riding to. By default the band I play the drums in is my favorite.
