that problem was also seen on the nh700 too, had one with a stuck lid and wouldn't turn on at all because its connection to the computer was abruptly broken and the aa battery was flat at the same time making the player look like its broken and lid wouldn't open, after panicking for a few minutes (because apples don't like minidisc players used as storage and it looked like a breakage caused by an apple computer) tried connecting it to a windows computer and properly removing the player from that computer and replacing the flat aa battery (found out after removing the player from the windows computer) fixed that problem

finally got an iPod 80 gigabite but not to completely replace minidisc as its a different market and didn't pay full price for it at a store where discounting is encouraged and most accessories purchased for iPod must also work with minidiscs and tapes and very determined not to become an iPod drone as many who blindly bought an iPod at full price had mutated into and now its time to make an iPod case out of cardboard, plastic sheets and sticky tape to feed no more money to those money hungry apples

get or make a copy protection stripper http://www.google.com.au/search?num=100&am...earch&meta= it would strip the thing off that tells the player it can't be copied so it can be recorded without trouble or use an exact sound catcher like totalrecorder (pay $$$$$$$$$$) or audacity (free) and catch the sound with the same computer that's playing it and then send it to minidisc if the podcast is already on your computer, just convert the format if needed and send it to minidisc with sonicstage

got rid of flash from all home computers and even from the new notebook computer that had it out of the box never to install the plugin for www browsing again wasn't happy with flash because macromedia streaming video is near impossible to save, flash banners are often unstoppable and the way it contaminates browsers

get rid of it out of the bedroom and put it in a spare room hopefully that would discourage staying up very late at night, and that trick works on some nights just got the computer sound back after one year without sound at the same time too after bothering to open up the computer only to find the sound card wasn't in properly and now comes the monstrous job of clearing the pile of 30 something discs of recorded stuffing that piled up during the year without computer sound

if the iPod's profit margin and production costs had been worked out many times before, why hasn't anybody done it for himd and minidisc too ????????? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ when himd first came out in australia, each player was rounded to the nearest 99 dollars, the 700 $499 and the 800 $599 etc, the higher the player model, the wider the profit margin as each model's production costs shouldn't vary by that much $100 for a radio remote, some stores discounting players right from the first day and the massive discounts in later days (possibly at prices close to production costs) makes the original pricing scheme look like a real cash grab
-
has anybody got an idea of what the manufacturing costs of himd players and profit margins are ?????????

real full of junk, and the computer gives off noxious fumes every time its on, also its in the most junk filled room at home, most of the junk is on the opposite side where its 2 feet deep minidisc player is stickied to the ground next to computer with blobs of play doh so it wouldnt get dropped by mistake and the neatly sorted piles of of minidiscs is the only tidy thing here full of junk and the only colourful room at home, almost all other rooms are boring beige those dangling elvises not as big as it appears see the blobs of play doh under the minidisc player and neatly stacked discs and there's also scribble on the computer screen too done with marker pen ~~~edited to get rid of attachments and replace with real pictures due to picture website delay in making pictures public~~~

got two matching 700's the blue 700 is used without batteries and stays at home next to the computer and usually connected to computer speakers for playback of sound and music (the computers sound is broken) or connect the computer cord for all necessary computer jobs, its also blue tacked to the table so it wouldn't plummet to the ground by accident, the blue player used to be the go everywhere player but since it had to be repaired several times replaced it with a matching player to give the original player softer duties to reduce the chance of further breakage the silver 700 replaced the blue 700 in the "media" bag which never gets left at home, its kept in a thick fluffy beanie that was found among pigeon poo in a grotty bus interchange and kept inside a "media" bag (an old calico supermarket bag) containing all stuffing necessary for sound recording, computer storage or connecting it to a hifi for playback as well as spare discs, batteries, a ton of cords, a tape recording walkman and a digital camera discs are kept near the computer stacked in various piles like full discs, empty discs, unfinished discs, 1gb discs, computer use discs, etc

not seen one in a very long time, the last hi~md one seen was an nh900 at least 18 months ago on somebody listening to music in a parked car and the last minidisc player of any kind was about 6 months ago with a college classmate for listening during work it looks like minidisc listeners don't proudly show there players to the world like many who succumbed to the iPod do and lack of distinct earphones make telling the minidiscs out from the competition difficult

star trek (everything except deep space nine) stargate (sg1 and atlantis) battlestar galactica and almost every other sci fi show and movie that gets played, australians are worst off when it comes to scifi, not happy that there's not one scrap of sci fi on free to air tv right now, ghost in the shell stand along complex occasionally take a peek at initial d but anti car sentiment keeps it from taking off gundam wing, brand new and looks very promising transformers energon and cybertron (if only it was on at an easier to get to time) and most other japanese stuff except inuyasha that cartoon network puts on watch 80's cartoons too but only the "serious" ones like transformers or gi joe, can't tolerate "toons" like most of loony tunes, rugrats and almost all talking animals an nearly everything disney really hate toons like roadrunner and tom and jerry and bugs bunny because the mouse and that ostrich thingie and rabbit always wins amazing race is the only reailty tv show that's really enjoyable watch discovery and national geographic too mythbusters is a must watch and shows about construction like extreme engineering and megacities south park, jackass, trigger happy tv are the only favorite adult humor shows power rangers, really got into it in 1996 after the evening news showed it caused kindergarten aggression sitcoms like friends, sabrina, seinfeld are never funny and are extremely boring, must go to funniest home videos to get laughs and real entertainment tried to get into adult swim's non anime us made shows like aqua teen hunger force or sealab 2021 but those never took off usually watch the simpsons but mainly the newer stuff because the older episodes get repeated endlessly as well as fururama because it resembles the simpsons

recently coverage of some areas was updated, and now the thumbtacks are not in the exact spot as it was before, there must be some great inaccuracies in the picture satellite gps positioning the worst area is around home where everything moved by 15 or so feet and now all the thumbtacks must be moved one by one to make up for that also the latest footage is nowhere near as good or detailed as the previous take was

paid way too much for a display jet that had limited edition colors at a well known city hobby shop after not looking looking at display jets in a long time and got ripped off big time last week by being sold a tiny burger when it was expected to be much bigger, what a rip off, every time on passing that shop, must scream rip off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!, even worse than that 2 tiered pricing of soft drinks (that small bottle is more expensive than the much bigger bottle around the corner)

also curious about the theblueraja did his wallpaper, that padlock thing in the middle looks like it's meant to moove or do something, what was done to make your computer look like that ??????? also never seen a taskbar that looks like that also interested in how everyone else put there computer themes together ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ was real annoyed about the unnecessary overdecorating done to computer screens that are shown on tv and movies and decided to go the opposite way, just look at that tv show 24, the hospital scene in the fantastic four movie, the island movie, that boring earthquake telemovie 10.5 which comes with little cartoon explosions as the nukes go off, and too many more to show, only the movie the bourne supremacy does it right and shows windows as windows how that tartan theme was made... 1. change the windows theme to classic 2. choose colour 255,128,128 for stock fill 3. activity title bars colour in 0,255,255 to 0,0,255, font colour 255,255,0 4. inactive title bars colour in 255,255,0 to 255,0,255 font colour 0,128,128 5. window text colour in 61,85,99 6. space to write text into, 255,255,255 7. 3d items, 0,255,255 8. message text colour in 61,85,99 9. file, edit, view text colour 0,255,255 10. pick the most ideal funny picture to go with that theme 11. get the official windows 3d maze screensaver and use similar funny pictures on the walls, ground and roof why not try it for yourself and post the your new theme to show the world and don't be tempted to change it for a long time.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ also made a similar theme for a workmate with development disorder whoose deaf and doesn't speak, loves computer games and he likes seeing his face and name everywhere on his computer and wallpaper and everyone find his computer the most interesting at work

smashing wooden dinosaurs, was a heap of fun to do after wanting to do it for many years and after pinching the mum's top secret handycam to catch it all on film the dinosaurs were purchased at rip off prices at a street market, spent 4 hours assembling the dinosaurs, 30 minutes to find and set up the video camera and line the dinosaurs up on the road, and 2 seconds to smash em if smashing wasn't what wooden dinosaurs were originally made for, what are wooden dinosaurs usually used for ??????

not that one, doing what "the rule" did that shows the cd artwork that is now playing, several oversize alienwear icons "internet, music, downloads and trash" and smoked window bits, free memory and space and spare processors that are in the wallpaper and not in a corner cubicle like konfabulator does how did the rule get all that done ???????
-
on an extra note how to get extra stuffing like memory, free disc space, spare processor, weather and other stuff that always changes onto the wallpaper instead of it being a still picture all the time ????? and how to make micro$oft windows not look like windows ??????? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the cubby house was twice as tall as in the picture, it was only shrunken to fit in the picture and the squat building behind and beside the cubby house was the cat maze "the catacomb", the two buildings were never side by side as the catacomb was made of the cubby house materials after cubby house demolition happened, also had great fun breaking apart the brown welded steel lengths of fence with brute force so the plumber can't take it to fence his pool, the plumber was real disappointed when he came to collect the fence only to find it twisted apart into small pieces and the bars used for the catacomb's windows and marble tracks, it all ended in 1998 when while overseas one parent got a dumpster to remove all the goodies leaving only the bricks which were useless on there own no need to be a millionaire to get a treehouse, just go to any construction site waste dumpster and collect wood and material from there, the only things to buy are nails, screws and anything that can't easily be found in construction site dumpsters

been through various other wallpapers over the last year, here's some of em not one bit interested in scantily clad girls, anything sexy, any "official" wallpaper from the web, cars, artsy fartsy computer makers wallpaper, always prefer home grown wallpaper, here's the best ones from over the years since 1998 wallpaper is also a very good indicator of what kind of character whoever owns that computer is the newest treehouse at the bottom of the yard, just finished and already collecting materials to extend it (another room and a bridge to an all new yet to be built treehouse is to go on the left) [attachmentid=1067] previous wallpaper before barbie pink became the hottest [attachmentid=1068] [attachmentid=1069] [attachmentid=1071] the wallpaper on the downstairs computer right now, got a real hate for that certain marque of car shown and that all of em must be destroyed and also a real car hater too [attachmentid=1070] once the pride and joy of the old house backyard back in 1997, not one single nail or screw was used in its construction and everything was simply stacked 3 storys high, sadly didn't take a picture of it before the neighbor fell from the top story where the yellow picnic chair is and ended up in hospital and the cubby house was removed soon afterwards, had to make it up with paintbrush back in 1998 before it got forgotten [attachmentid=1072] might keep this this one on the upstairs computer for now, this one's a real classic, gotta move the the icons on the left over to not obstruct the cubby house, that was the best cubby house ever

the nh700 liked it so much got a second one, and the 700 was chosen because it is the lowest priced one that does everything required and does it real well and runs on readily available AA batteries

33,44'15.54 s 151,14'10.56 e that's the exact spot the dinosaur smashing happened (filmed on july 12 2003) and today's home is a few houses up the street on the east side with the backyard treehouses and other fun stuff hidden among the trees right behind the house the old house (lived there until 1999) is exactly at 33,44,29.71 s 151,11'30.44 e, it's a 3 story 1970's mission brown brick and pebblecrete monstrosity at the end of a long and steep driveway is there also a way to enter the position and google earth will go there by itself ??????????? always find it time consuming trying to find and label the exact positions mentioned previously
-
the backyard camp as it was in 2002, it's since been replaced by a tarpaulin tent stretched over wooden planks and 4 treehouses it's window$ xp, but the new look is crap so made it look like good old windows 95 and barbie pink is the hottest color lately, those original window$ mouse pointers are crap so those were swapped with cute ones like bananas too
-
already possible, but needs twice the space, use sonicstage to make a listenable (using the player's buttons and some earphones) copy and drag n drop the original sound onto the same disc so it can be listened through the computer's music player while the disc is in storage mode

Webpages about the problem of unsaveable streaming video and audio http://emoney.al.ru/capture-streaming-video-and-audio/ http://emoney.al.ru/capture-streaming-vide...ng-software.htm Look for Net Transport 2, got that one and it works real well as an all round downloader for more than just ripping into streaming video and audio, just make sure it's version 1.8 (really 1.87.0.258) and not the latest one as the latest one is shareware possibly with reduced function instead of being completely free as 1.8 is http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=NT...le+Search&meta= should point right to version 1.8 more maddening stuff overdecorated computer screens on movies and tv shows (unecessary software bloat), worst recent offender was the Fantastic Four and how the hospital computer screens show way more than it should, too much juice is required just to show all that fancy rubbish than what the computer is meant to be doing, slowing down everything unnecessarily. tv's most recent offender is 24 and the agency computer screens with way more rubbish than work, why can't it just be Windows, linux, apple or anything else that is commonly used ??????????????????? let's hope that overdecorated bloatware isn't real but just made in photoshop and with macromedia two teired pricing of soft drinks, snacks and ice creams where there is small 500mill bottle of drink for $2.50 and just around the corner in the same supermarket 2 liters of the same drink also for $2.20, which would you buy ???????????????? how the local bus company forces everyone to take the train to and from the city by ending all service at the nearest train station after 8pm weeknights and on weekends instead of going straight into the city, taking the train is now so deadly its banned along most lines into the city with no chance of going those ways again, there is a way around but it takes twice as long so much more time must be allowed to go that way the cat howling unnecessarily in a nasty way at the worst time, gotta chase it away and maybe strike back if the howling is very nasty, why couldn't it just sit there quietly ???????????? that cat was once the favorite family pet, but since it started howling, didn't want to play, brush and feed it anymore so everyone else at home now gotta feed it, the sooner that evil cat is gone the better, still got the pet lizzies who don't make any sounds (except the gecko) so abandoning the cat will not leave a pet vacuum
