I'm glad that it works at the end. For HiMD device recognition issue, please run a search within the software section of the forum - there are couple of method to rectify the problem.

Welcome to ALC! Unfortunately, Club VAIO is an European exclusive. Well... you still have us. -

I am not aware of any armband-type case for the NW-E40x/50x series. As far as I know, this is the only proper case for the series:

Sony VAIO Pocket VGF-AP1L Pictorial
Ishiyoshi replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
This is not exactly true. Just a correction - one can import an individual folder (containing tracks of the same album) with SonicStage even with version 3.1. What I do is: File --> Import --> Scan Folder --> Select "Settings" --> Select your desired folder within the "Import Files" window. -
Welcome to MDCF! Can you title in Chinese language text at all? Please note that Chinese language texts are supported as long as it's in the kanji library. Otherwise, you will see some Chinese texts as "?" In addition, ensure that you run SonicStage 3.2 with AppLocale in Japanese. If you follow the registry edit as outlined, you will get a majority of Chinese language texts.

The last firmware update was sometime in December 2004. Future firmware updates are somewhat slim in my opinion – hopefully, Sony will come to recognize the sudden popularity of its VAIO Pocket and continue to support the device accordingly. Nonetheless, the features currently offered by the VAIO Pocket far outweigh its inability to transfer non-DRM ATRAC-type files originated from another computer (transferred via SonicStage 3.2 to the VAIO Pocket) into the music library of another SonicStage 3.2. But, then that’s my opinion. If this is a huge problem, you should enquire if other ATRAC related device can transfer non-DRM ATRAC-type files according to your requirement.

Yes and it works with Sony's flash based ATRAC device; not with HiMD device. Please refer to ATRACLife Colloquium

@ Imperial_Eagle: For your convenience, please download the attachment below: OpenMGSetup v.4.2.00.06070 and report back if it works.

I've conducted the test you've requested and I can confirm that non-DRM ATRAC files can be transferred to another computer for SonicStage 3.2 playback – only possible if you utilize the VAIO Pocket as a removable media as a means of transfer. However, you cannot transfer non-DRM ATRAC files originated from another computer (transferred via SonicStage 3.2 to the VAIO Pocket) into the music library of another SonicStage 3.2.

You can download the English version of SonicStage 3.2 in the download section of the forum. It works perfectly well and comes with Europe Connect; and if you should need to utilize US Connect please edit the registry entry as follow: locate: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage\EMD and change the HomeURL to http://musicstore.connect.com/

For your information, the latest OpenMG Secure Module is 4.2.00.06070 Try the reinstall procedure once again; and this time ensure that you delete OpenMG’s registry entry --> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\OpenMG after you remove your copy of OpenMG Secure Module. If installation problems still persist, please report back and I will try and extract OpenMG Secure Module 4.2.00.06070 for you. Good luck.

Sony VAIO Pocket VGF-AP1L Pictorial

To my knowledge, there's no option to disable gapless playback. ATRAC format naturally supports gapless playback whenever necessary. -
Welcome to ALC! The answer to your main query: Yes! SonicStage 3.2 supports multiple ATRAC devices simultaneously and it handles all the devices at once efficiently. (*I had four device connected simultaneously: HiMD, NetMD, PSP and VAIO Pocket with no problems) The options for your respective device within SonicStage changes when you switch from one ATRAC device to the other.

Welcome to MDCF! First of all, what sort of music format you were trying to transfer over to the MZ-N1? Remember, MZ-N1 being a NetMD device only supports ATRAC ("fake SP" reconverted from LP2) and ATRAC3 format via SonicStage. It does not support ATRAC3plus.

Install the latest: SonicStage 3.2 and do remember to backup your library.

This is a nifty Japanese freeware that enables one to title MP4/AVC video. The UI of the software is of course in Japanese, but it's relatively easy to use. Enjoy. Click here for PSPTitleWriter | PSPタイトルライター

Welcome to ALC! I would highly recommend that you get your PSP from stores like BestBuy or WalMart; assuming you resides in the states. This is because you could at least exchange your PSP if it suffers from dead pixels hassle free. In addition, the prices of the PSP vary only by a few dollars among online stores.

I'm sorry pato, I have yet to test your request. I’ll try to conduct the test after the weekend. Hopefully you can wait that long.
-
I don't think this is an AppLocale issue. When I use the term UI glitch, I am suggesting that perhaps, somehow SonicStage failed to acknowledge your command to add/change album covers. I know this does not sound reassuring, but if the first reinstall do not work, give it another try.
-
It seems that you may experience an isolated UI glitch. This should not occur and SonicStage should acknowledge your command to add/change album cover. I remember one user had a similar problem and the only way to rectify the problem is either to reinstall or an upgrade to SonicStage 3.2.
