I voted no as I never see the need to employ remotes in general with the VAIO Pocket. However, I do agree with you. The VSC2 is rather bulky and squishy as you put it. I wished it was sleeker, resembling its main unit - the VAIO Pocket.

You may need to enter Service mode and change its destination codes to enable full Japanese text support. However, according to the RH910's Service Manual (you can download a copy in our Download section), the codes available does not appear that it will enable your desired language support. You may need to apply RH10's codes - please note that I can't guarantee that it will work. Nonetheless, if you wish to try it, please refer to this thread. Good luck.

The VAIO Pocket’s larger, crisp and vibrant color screen with a fixed 40GB HDD definitely gives it more appeal over the RH10. However, you can’t really compare these two devices as they are completely of different genre. Nonetheless, the VAIO Pocket is extremely useful if you only listens to music and do not conduct any recordings. However, in general I do not find the VAIO Pocket any better than the RH10 in music playback and sound quality. With this in mind, the most significant advantages of the RH10 over the VAIO Pocket for just music playback are: 1) Customizable Sound EQ 2) Cheaper battery replacements in the long run; more accessible as well. 3) PCM playback Please note: since sound quality is a subjective topic and I will only say that the VAIO Pocket provides somewhat fuller sound but this is by no means better than the RH10. Overall, I prefer the VAIO Pocket when I am in-flight or on outdoor photography; as for general purposes, I prefer the RH10 since it’s somewhat smaller and is independent of the cradle when you need to interact with SonicStage or the PC. In conclusion, I would highly recommend the VAIO Pocket over the RH10 if you only need it for listening purposes.

Haha... the PET is not activated yet so to speak. This device actually works with any portable audio device including HDD based.

No, that's not possible - you can't upload ATRAC 292kbps to your system via SonicStage 3.2 even though it has the option to import CDs into ATRAC3plus format with no DRM. You will just need to reconvert those music tracks accordingly.
