MZ-RH1 has unlimited uploading capability. Alternatively, look in the software section to find any uploaders.

Here's the image of MZ-E900 I got for $25. Hope it arrives soon. Any comments on the unit (likes/dislikes)? Thanks sfpb for the battery link. I realized that seller ships from Australia and hence more shipping. Are there any options within US/Canada that are as cheap and good?

I just did a buy-it-now on MZ-E900. Its looks like new from the picture. I got it for $25 buy-it-now price + $7 shipping. I think it is a very good price. What do you all think? I had crush on this unit forever and can't believe I got it today. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290325340945 Question: Seller says Ni-MH batteries are dead. I also need Ni-MH for my MZ-RH10, is it the same battery and is what's a good brand/place to get it for cheap?

And they may be dying to tell you, dude get rid of the dinosaur and get cool ipod. And why so serious about your music. BTW: I am like you and not them.
-
I'd probably get one for 60

Hi guys, While doing some google search, I accidently: http://www.flickr.com/groups/minidisc/ This has made my day by far and inspired me to collect better blanks and units. Can't stop oogling at the babies.

IF O.S incompatibility then: Use VMWare Player, if you have license to another OS (XP,2000,98). Recently, I got a laptop with Vista 64-bit and there was no way NetMD drivers would work for Sonicstage. So, I installed XP using VMWare and got USB to work along with drive sharing for songs. BTW, Sonicstage works fine on Vista for Hi-MD & NEtMD. But on Vista 64-bit only Hi-MD drivers work.

Tapewarehouse is in atlanta, ga just few miles from me. But they are $5+/disc. That's costly.
-
Coooool, I'll give free VMWare a try by installing Win 2000 Pro as I have a license for that one. Can we share drives/folders? I am assuming USB support. Avrin: I notice you have NH600. Does it have a dc input?
-
Does MZ-NH600D have DC input? Please suggest a good tough Hi-MD player for the car wih DC input
-
Well, I could dual-boot WinXP/ Vista 32-bit. I am still very curious if there is a different way to achieve it.

TBR, Problem is that sonicstage cannot recognize a disc that is in NETMD mode. IF the recorder is Hi-MD and disc is classic/NETMD then vista x64 asks drivers for NEtMD. And if recorder is NETMD, then vista always asks for NetMD drivers. Now, if recorder is Hi-MD and disc is intialized as Hi-MD then everything works fine on vista x64 as they were installed fine with sonicstage. In short, a disc initialized as NetMD needs NETMD drivers which are non-existent for 64-bit OS's.

Yesterday, I installed Virtual PC 2007 w/ Win XP. Got sonicstage and everything to work realizing that there is no USB support. What a bummer. And, I don't think I have an extra WinXP license. Someone mentioned in some other post about using a virtualization software which I looked up and costs money. So again a bummer. On my vista x64, I had vista version of sonic stage that I downloaded which did not work for NetMD. Later I uninstalled it and installed WinXP version of SonicStage on vista x64. This works exactly the same without any NetMD drivers. The problem happens when I insert NEtMD recorder in usb. Vista starts looking for a driver automatically and cannot find it. Then I point it to a location of 32-bit drivers which it does not like. How do I do tell stupid vista that install drivers in x32 mode. Please make some suggestions. PS: I am a software programmer by profession. If someone has some leads, maybe I can program something to get it to work on x64 systems.

I didn't realize that. With sonicstage, I get driver issues when I try to initialize disc in NetMD mode. Everything works fine when I initialize disc in Hi-MD mode in SonicStage. So, what you are saying is I should initialize discs in Hi-MD mode and then put LP2 tracks on it?

I have been using MZ-S1 for car for a long time. Recently, I upgraded my computer to Vista x64 and found out that there are no drivers available for NETMD. So, the only choice I have is now Hi-MD. I would continue making SP recording, but to try out music in car I used LP2. But with vista x64 I would have to use Hi-SP or any other Hi-MD mode. So, I need a good player for car that would run on DC power input. MZ-S1 I have currently runs fine on DC input without any need for changing batteries. Some choices I have in mind are MZ-NH600D or MZ-NH600. I currently have MZ-RH910 and RH1. RH1 I would not want to use in car and RH-910 has white sides which are already getting dirty. For car I need something that could take heat.

Thanks brian for testing RW's out. I might just get CD-R's if they go for cheap. Most of my collection is on a hard-drive in MP3 (320 kbps / 256 VBR) / wav / flac. Lot's of time I like to create SP discs of few albums and try them out in my car and delete/move tracks based on my preference. Because of this I did not like the idea of going CD-R route as I'll just be wasting them.

The guy is selling 100 units (1=2 remotes). It then went down to 99 when sfbp got it and then to 98 when I got it. It'll be interesting to see how many more from here get it as compared to ones from outside.
-
I went ahead and also got 1. I think this is a good deal for 2 remotes at $9.50.
-
Found them on ebay, seems cheap < $10 shipped. I do not have remote for MZ-RH1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180365665389

I myself was a cassette fan while growing up. I can understand why someone collects cassette units. Its just like an MD fan collecting MD units (I am too..)
-
Why are you buying up all the cassette recorders and players? And why no minidiscs?
