I seriously doubt that, but it's something that I've really wished for, device to device connectivity and transfer. That, along with doing away with hiding all of the files nonsense, something that gives cheap flash mp3 dmps a big advantage over Sony's otherwise greatly superior hardware. Add, or rather, correct those two things and things would be as they rationally should be IMO, I would be in heaven. And a digital out would be really nice for hooking up to a nice receiver, especially since you havn't released a deck yet, Sony. But more to this unit, yes, it is quite pleasing to the eyes and I intend to get one, especially since I dropped my RH-10 onto concrete and it now only works using external power, rendering it a really light nonportalble . I still have my NH-1 from the Australia liquidation, but this one will end up in my collection sometime, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get it until after I have depleted my savings for the PS3, and there's no definite telling how much that will put me out. As an end note, I see the single unit as a good move by Sony; it just makes marketing sense, but I also think that it's probably a sign of scaling back and Sony being cautious with it's niche market products.. we'll see.

Actually, I've thought the Sony LAM X-1 CD/[Hi]MD bookshelf system http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_LAM-X1.html bore an uncanny resemblance to the body of the PS3... testing perhaps? And great image NRen2k5

Oh! I was wondering when they would release another lp. It's been a long wait for the new songs I heard in concert to make it to an album; thanks for making me aware, it's been a while since I checked on them.. that will be my next album purchase. As far as my latest: Alizée - Gormandises ... Not at all my general listening, but this is really good pop.. a lot better than American nympho-teen fare Depeche Mode - Black Celebration Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward

You are.. The Man. I havn't come across these and am grateful that you shared them with us, thanks!

Wow, I wasn't aware of these new nice looking Hi-MDs; thanks for sharing and doubly for the pics. I've been waiting for Sony to release a nice looking 1GB; it seemed to me that they could have made the originals look a lot better if they had been black with a nice tech blue stripe instead of the navy/orange coloration.

Wow, that's quite a bumble on Sony's part. To be perfectly honest, I laughed out loud when I read this.. it's just so ridiculous. I got the Japanese domestic version of the RH10 and thus was not aware of this (I've actually got about 60 extra characters relatively) but I sympathise with all those who have this problem. Sony should definitely pay for all shipping charges ( to and from ) after all, it was their mistake. Wish everyone the best with getting it resolved. ...hmm, makes me wonder if the JP model has the same 'issues' with the MP3 playback

Hey, nice list! I see a few things on there I want just scanning over... good luck finding them though, I guess But I did notice one to add; I scrolled down to Depeche Mode and noticed the lack of Exciter. I specifically remember seeing an ebay acution of that album on prerecorded minidisc on Ebay (with pic) Good list though, I can see using this as a preliminary shopping list.

Also, I thought I'd add that you can't get a full and proper charge via the USB with the MZ-RH10 (according to the English operations manual PDF) but the unit can and will charge simply with the AC adaptor (in fact, the NA version doesn't even come with the cradle.) I got the Japanese domestic version from an ebay etailer because I really wanted the LCD remote and then was trying to look up info on charging via the cradle in the English PDF file from Sony's site (I don't know Japanese, so the supplied printed manual only got me so far ) and there wasn't a word to be found of a charging cradle. Sorry, I can't say anything of editing older ATRAC versions, this is my first venture into the world of the minidisc and I'm still reading on this model, but I certainly am enjoying my nice MZ-RH10, I just couldn't believe how small and light it was when I first got it. Hope you can get the proper info to assure you in a decision
