I 've heard that, to assure audio tape wordwide success, PHILLIPS, in the 70'S, give up his copyrignts of inventors. Will SONY make the same with Hi-md instead of killing it?

Now, it's no time for crying but to go ahead. hi-md with SS 3.2 uploading features is good enough for me. (if Connect could add wma (lossless especilly) support it will be perfect) I 've decided today to buy an onkyo MD-105 hi-md deck from Audiocube for 337€. I can live with myMZ RH1O and my girlfriend MZ dh10P. But I need a hi-md car unit: please kenwood, jvc,... SONY???!!! We have to continue promote HiMD qualities in direction of our friends, family, etc.. If they don't find MD in stores, we can import it for them from japan. Of course, this way we pay shippin cost instead of Sony..damned!

In France where I live, it's still not available, but it's now out in belgium and UK. because I coudn't wait , I bought 2 units from ebay at buyfromjapan. I can confirm you that you can upload the pictures to you computer witout any restrictions, just ctrlc/ ctrlV as for any still camera . you also create new archive on the MD itself, and classify the pictures you take from the current DCIM archive.

This is 1GB himd disc but it seem not to be classic nor blue disc. what do you think? himd 1GB [attachmentid=899] another very interesting link (for european guys) md discs

Sony just make a jb940 , ja 20Es based HImd deck ,car HImd unit , 3MEGA pixel/video (500kbps is OK for mpeg2 SQ quality) version of mz dh10P, and you will boost sail of HImd blanks!!!

but sony found money to invest in design ang fabrication lines for these unusable new big Hi-md boxes!

Hi everybody. excuse my bad english. In the past, there were several petitions to implement recording level adjustment without pausing for example. why not a new petition in direction of Sony for stand alone md deck and car unit? This wouldn't necessite any research and developpement: just take mds-jb940 or mds ja20ES box and electronics, change the optic block and encoding-decoding circuitery for Hi-Md one, and you've got two fantastic pure Hifi hi-end decks! Idem for car unit. An all-in-one version of mz-dh10P, with mic/line input, 3Mega pixels, good flash light 3X internal optical zoom, video with sound (at 500kbps 1GB Himd can write 30 min of mpeg2 SQ ,60 min LQ , 90 min EQ quality video, the same that Sony DVD recorder/camcorder - only HQ quality would be impossible. MPeg4 encoding would allow much more recording time ) woudn't need much more investiment. PS: anybody knows CMT-AH10 FM bandwith? is there any seller/importer for Himd Onkyo bookshelves in europe/usa ? thanks
