i did all the conversions in sonicstage. i imported original wav and converted it to 352/256/192 each time and then imported the .oma file and saved back to .wav i used razorlame 3.97 for mp3 encoding. the graphs were made using adobe audition. ps.can you suggest a good mp3 encoder?

i dont know if its mentioned before, i cant read all 11 pages. but heres an analysis of the compression modes of 352/256/192 of ATRAC3+ as you can see 256/352 are almost lossless, something we knew but 192 is still very good but there is a quality compromise although better than the equivalent mp3 file.

a local shop is selling the RH710 for 80euros which is about 93$ or 56pounds. i cant find much info on this model, it seems a europe only product. isnt 80euros a great bargain or is it just me?

i installed sonicstage 3.3 (previous 3.2) and i cannot tranfer the atrac recording from the RH10 back to pc. it says that they were recorded in another computer. is there a solution for this? was there something i could do before installing ss 3.3 to avoid this? note that i am not talking about the library files, but the already tranfered to md files which no longer exist on my hard disk.

in this screenshot of SonicStage there is an option on transfer at 192kbps http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?act=A...pe=post&id=1026 am i seeing well? this doesnt exist in the actual program though,or am i mistaken? i know there are some bitrates intended only for playback such as 192/128/etc but in this picture its an option for transfer mode and only 192 exists, i'm confused whats the deal? cya

ok,i figured it out. its impossible to work it out in decimal view, in ms that is. you have to use the 75fps view in cooledit or any other program and cut at exact frames, or subdivisions of 588 samples. you opened my eyes,thanks!! i always wondered why there was glitch between tracks.

can you explain the how to make single audio tracks that are 75fps. how many ms equal to 1 frame? thanks
