let's hope the japan MD scene remains in the 60% range in coming years; though its future doesnt look so bright according to the stats. MD's were once very popular in neighboring south korea, but now hardly anyone uses them. instead they use memory and HDD based players.

netMD has about 50 hours off a AA on LP4 audio. with a gumstick and an AA you can probably get just over 70 hours

Hi, minidisc.org forum newb here. im looking into buying a cheap entry level hiMD, 1st or 2nd generation, doesnt matter. price is an issue for me. i have been a longtime netMD user and im still quite satisfied with its quality so im pretty much looking for a decent sounding player that simply has the ability to read/write hiMD discs; dont expect any bells and whistles. i was looking into the MZ-DH710, what do you guys think?

nevermind. i found an old thread regarding N10 battery issues. bought a 6V charger attachment for the dry battery case. my N10 finally works! no more MZ-N1 until the N10 breaks down or the internal battery fails to hold any charge.

hello all i have an MZ-N10 here that i cant power up. i dont have the cradle, but i have attached the dry battery case with a fresh AA battery and it still doesnt turn on. Does the internal battery need to be charged to use this?? thanks.
