matheusbp
Hi guys, i just received my NH1 Hi-Md unit but it's the japanese version. I want to know (coudn't find any topics about it) if there is some way to hack the unit using some computer program or entering in the service mode to convert it to the english language one... Thanks and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
phish
I live in US and bought US version $284.88 + $4.95 UPS shipping at www.jr.com. (Is there any rule for saying real price and retailer? Then I'll remove the price and retailer names) The cheapest Japanese I found in US was $429 + $29 shipping to US from HyperJack. US version is lot cheaper then I purchased the US. There is no big difference between Japanes and US version. I have US version and tried to change it to Japanese version for titling matter, but I couldn't. I now have no problem to input Japanese and Kanji, not 100% perfect though- I can't input some Katakana and Kanji but ok, with SonicStage. Downside is that I can't edit the Japanese titles with NH1 remote. Why you'd like to change Japanese to US? You may need some utility to access to the NH1 service mode. I haven't found the utility anywhere.
Hyena
You would like to change the menu and such on the unit to english? If so, Audiocubes.com lists directions for this: "Using a jog dial, proceed from "各種設定" (Other Setup), to "表示言語" (Display Language), then select "英語表示" (English Display).
