Guest graphis_7
hi, nice to talk to you all:i have a sharp dr80 right now and i am not sure if i should buy a sony eggo d22 with it or the sharp md33 earbud. the reason i ask this is that i realized the md33 have a 4 pole construction the is compatible with me dr80 ( does it therefore offer a better sound than the eggo?)and the the eggo have pretty good reviews elsewhere. please give me some advices, thanks! bland10000
The first thing that stands out to me regarding your selection is the difference in style between the 33's and the 22's. The 33's are a canal-phone and the 22's are over your ear cups. What is going to be most comfortable for you?

Thanks alot for your comments!

Thanks alot for your comments!←I like the D66 eggos, which are a step up from the D22. Really nice sound, very comfortable and compact enough to wear on the street without feeling like a complete dweeb. I don't like earbuds and canalphones mostly because they bother my ears after using them for a while, but plenty of people use them for extended periods without problems. bland10000
I reccomend starting with the 33's. They sound very good as your review search has revealed. Also, you will have peace of mind knowing that you are using 4 pole phones with a 4 pole plug.In time when you want to try out something different, I would recommend the 66 eggos over the 22. The cups on the 66's are on a metal slide rather than the plastic slide of the 22's. While I own the 66's and not the 22's, I have traded 66's for 22's with a friend to let him know the difference and to give me experience with the 22's. For me it was a step backwards and it was easily discernable; still the 22's were better than the stock buds. For my chum, we went to Yodobashi camera the next day and he bought himself the 66's. Also, the 66's are very comfortable to wear for extended hours and I've fallen asleep with mine on before.
Christopher
The D66's aren't something I'd wear out and about, and the Sennheiser PX200 would be a much more ideal phone for that purpose. Now, if you were able to control your listening enviroment whilst on the go, i.e. sitting on a park bench or etc for a while then the D66 would be good. Christopher
Indeed, they are very light and also fold into quite a small shape - really a good combo for MD use. They can get a little sweaty in the heat, though.
