arb226
Is it possible to use Simple Burner to write LP2 on a Hi-MD ?
dex Otaku
Simple Burner is limited to HiMD modes [PCM, HiSP, HiLP] when writing to HiMD-formatted discs. Don't ask me why Sony did this, as it makes no sense.
jonny mac
I think this is a major fault with SB. That plus the inability to record SP (or even fake SP) to a standard disc mean that SB can do neither of the things I primarily want it to. The only thing you can do is to use Sonicstage and then delete the files afterwards.
Michael1980
Sorry that is just my opinion,But if I was a HiMD user I would never use LP2 for music. Just use HiSP for quality.
dex Otaku
I'm with Michael1980 on this, actually. People have commented on how much the SS / SB LP2 codec has improved between SS 2.1 and 3.0, but I don't hear a difference - it still sounds absolutely horrible to me. There were definitely some minor improvements, but in the end it still sounds horrible indeed.
Silvadragon
Who the hell uses Simple Burner neway?I find it useless Edited May 4, 2005 by Silvadragon
matrulesok
But if you're like me and lp2 is ok for everyday use, you get twice as much on a disc. Simple burner is a fairly good program (it works without any hassle) apart from these limitations.
