ethornley
Has anyone heard if Realaudio is working on a device driver for Sony's HI-MD portables? The currend driver supports only the NetMD MDLP models. I am blind and have discovered that SonicStage is totaly non-screen-reader friendly, whereas RealAudio will at least talk with my screen reader. I used Real when I had my NetMD unit for all the transfers. What I would have really liked is having a driver for MusicMatch.

Silvadragon
Real Audio? i barely use that stuff.I ever use it when checking out nba.comI want some quality improvement with SS not with other programs, cos that'll make it non-sony if there were to b heaps of drivers for other programs for transfering. If so, then hurry and make one for iTunes! ethornley
does it work fast?←Not really. It still uses SonicStage or OpenMG to convert audio files before "transfering" them to the MD. I only use Real because it talks via JAWS Screen Reader.ET.
bland10000
I'd read in a post back in January that some people were having luck with the realplayer md device driver loading to hi-md but that it was slow.I'm on rp 'cause sonicstage didn't catalog music as well when I started my library. I've wanted to make the switch to hi-md but the lack of rp device driver, the desire for a Sharp hi-md, and no sign of a h-md home deck have been my reasons for not yet switching over. I contacted rp in December and they said they would release a driver when 2nd generation hi-md was released...but I think the service rep just wanted to give an answer that sounded good 'cause I have not seen the driver available.
