flexis, just search a bit before you ask... there are currently A LOT of threads that adress this question like right here or here

knowledge requires effort!

Well I did not see that topic yet and it is really a shame!

I seem to be discovering more drawback's every day I read about the RH10

and am slightly fearing that I will regret buying one.

Have you ever tried recording through the headphone out and what was the quality like? Can you actually notice the difference compared to a real line out?

Can you make EQ preset's or will I have to reset the EQ manually every time?

For such an expensive unit the really have much limitation's sad.gif

again, search a bit brefore you ask, or ask in those threads I suggested!

I do not own an RH10 (but a NH900 with line out) so I wouldn't know

the EQ question is not striaghtforward, look for the "Hatrick 2nd gen destination codes" (or something) thread, the you'll see why

I was just wondering... are you here all the time,

you're alway's breathing down my neck, haha, just kidding  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

I agree... I'm spend way too much time here blushing.gif but I'm working on my masters thesis and have MDCF open in the background... and believe me, breathing down your neck is much more pleasant than writing a thesis laugh.gif

but I do like MDCF a lot, it is very helpfull and mostly gives clear answers...and I would like to keep it that way, so no double posting (of single pots/topics or questions) please

Flexis, if you are using the Hi-MD for recording then you no longer need to record out of the headphone jack. If you have a PC (not a Mac) you can upload digitally, faster than realtime. Or you can record digitally in realtime by playing back through SonicStage and recording on your PC through TotalRecorder.

If you're playing back (through a sound system or stereo) out of the headphone jack, you might have to crank it up a tiny bit more than if you were playing back through Line-Out. Headphone out will have your Sound (EQ) settings, which should stay set between uses. Line-Out would not have any EQ.
