Best Way Of Recording?

hey iam new to the forums and i wanted to know which is the best way of recording with a *usb wire* to fit more songs on an *8o min disc* becuase ive tried Lp4 mode and i can only fit about 41-42 songs before it gets full................oooo and post up to how many can be loaded with the mode you chose thanks. cool.gif

and if any of your are going to ask what minidisc iam using for this recording its the mz-n10.

ATRAC is a compression format, the way mp3 or wma or aac are compression formats. It's Sony's own compression format. You are using ATRAC if you are using SP, LP2 or LP4.

LP4 should give you 320 minutes on an 80-minute disc, and LP2 should give you 160 minutes.

i kno its a format but, what does sp mean?

SP = Stereo Playback (or sometimes Standard Play)  = 292 kbps.

(The least compressed stereo format that minidisc originally offered).

Its really what the 60, 74 or 80 minute minidisc refers to (ie. the amount of recording time available in SP mode)...

o ok thanks alot how about in Lp4 mode with a 1 gb hi-md disc? how many songs you think can be stored?
