MusicBringer
I have a new NH900 - aren't they good I have managed to do an optical recording from CD player direct to HiMD. Hooray! The mindisc is full of tracks. Wonderful.I am using SS 3.1 to tag the tracks manually. This is taking ages to key. Can this be done automatically by searching a database on the internet (Get CD info is greyed out for me )
bobt
Use Simple burner to transfer, does it a lot faster than real time, and all information is transfered.
Kaotic
let me get this clear, did you use SS or Simple Burner to tag your files? if it's simple burner, just pop in the cd and copy + paste. Voila, you are done. no need to key in manually.
MusicBringer
Hello Kaotic, Hello bobt, I've never used simpleburner. I understood you got a better sound quality by using an optical lead and going direct from CD player to HiMD, without using sony software
Christopher
You should try both and see if you can detect the differences.
sebastianbf
simple burner will transfer even in PCM so I think the sound quality it's not a problem. The only thing is that you can't transfer in SP mode using SimpleBurner. But you can use Hisp which in my opinion is very very similar in quality to Sp mode or you can use Pcm and get real good quality recordings.Sebastian
matrulesok
Another alternative is to copy and paste titles from freedb.org - not automatic, but faster than typing. I wouldnt have thought that there is an automatic method, but I could be wrong....
