The Low Volta
this is a wellknown problem with mics that directly plug into the recorder... just look for a male-female 3.5mm minijack (same as the plug on the mic) cable... they can be found in any decent electronics/audio shop I guessgreetings, Volta
greenmachine
There are definitely such cables, they're often sold as 'headphone extension cord' or the like. Here's what i've found at Radioshack:http://www.radioshack.com/search.asp?find=...hp=search&SRC=1Look out for a shielded one. A440
Those Radio Shack cords are way expensive and way too long. Shorter is better both for convenience and to minimize degradation of the signal. You should be able to find a 3-foot one for $5 or so at a hardware or electronics store. Take along your mic and make sure that it plugs into one and that the plug at the other end matches your mic plug.
kylieshotpants
with regards to this, does anyone know of a filter that can be used afterwards in the mixing process?. I recently had to go stealth on a comedy show, and althought the recording is excellent, it's ruined by the motor noise.I believe that some Hard Drive recorders have a similar problem, a clicking every few minutes and someone's devised some sort of tool that searches the recording & eliminates it.
