bisjac
if such a single din deck excists for the love of god please tell me.but i asume it would be double din anyway.MD, CD, CDR, CDRW all in one, in the car would be nice, instead of having 2 seperate units of diferent brands.i prefer sony, but it almost dont matter. i got a unit that claims to play MD's but all i can do is use it to record off the radio, the hell would i want to do that for. i want to play MD's or hi-MDs in my car, that i recorded myself using my walkman, and computer. culp4684
The only single din unit I've seen that does md/cd/cd-r/w is this one.←Be aware that Japanese units w/o a world band tuner cannot pull in the complete FM range in the US. Even if you purchase a converter, you have to make a choice between two separate kinds and it involves leaving out some frequencies either way.Bisjac-There is no car unit that plays Hi-MD's yet. My guess is there will never be one. If you need Hi-MD playback in your car, you'll have to settle with buying a car unit that has a separate line in jack for your portable. If you want both CD and MD playback, you might want to consider a changer like I did...
