raintheory
Well, I live in the USA but I took the opportunity to express my views on your behalf.
bogon07
Thanks Raintheory. Any expression of interest in Minidiscs no matter where has to be a good thing.Hopefully Sony will stop regionalizing its products so everyone has access to the same selection of products (within power supply restrictions). Christopher
I went ahead and took the survey and noted my concerns..It's weird to not even see MD listed here:http://www.sony.com.au/walkman/category.jsp?id=21995
mkeswani
As of this week, even support for Minidisc has been taken off the Sony Australia web site. I have expressed my opinion on the Websurvey about this.Regards,M
braddo
As of this week, even support for Minidisc has been taken off the Sony Australia web site. Oh no, that does NOT sound promising.

Deanage
Quite possibly the ONLY good thing about living in Adelaide is that since we are so slow to get new technology (we still don't have wireless broadband), we're slow to get rid of old technology. Sony Central (69 Grenfell St, Adelaide, 5000. Ph 08 8232 6800), had a few walkmans the last time I checked just over a week ago. Adelaide also just got a new shipment of Hi-MD blanks. REJOICE!Sorry to hear about your loss, leonyuhanov. That truly sucks. If you find the lowlifes, kick their head in for me.

mkeswani
The news gets worse. I tried to register my NH900 today with Sony and the MySony (Australia) website refused to recognise the model number so I couldn't even start the process. I have sent a query to their Support people by e-mail asking why I can't register a product that is still available for sale in the Sony shops here.Regards,M

mkeswani
try doing it with a zero infront of the serial no. make sure you have the model 'nh900' exactly as they ask.my sony australian is a poorly designed site, right down to this level of detail.I have tried everything - mznh900, MZNH900, minidisc and so on. I can't get past the first stage where they ask you to select the product. Looks like they have deleted every trace of minidiscs from their website.M

Looks like they have deleted every trace of minidiscs from their website.Mjust doing a search for "minidisc" inthe au site, comes up with 10 products, none of them are portable players! 3 Decks, remote keyboard, blank media and cases. But no portable players![edit] wtf they even have cassette players yet no MD's! Edited October 3, 2005 by 1x3room

Deanage
I went into Sony Central (Adelaide) today and there was an MZNH600 sitting there all by itself. Oh wait, there was a tape based notetaker sitting underneath it, 'cos, you know, they're everywhere these days. Everyone uses tape!Good to see Sony has it's priorites right...
