I'm the owner of a brand new MZ-RH10,when I record a CD from my computer to MD, most tracks sound

great, but some have drop outs, clicks and pops. I'm using Simple Burner 2.0, recording in Hi-SP.

I can erase and re-record the CD, this sometimes helps. My system is Windows 98SE, Pentium III 500Mhz

256MB RAM, Sony PCG-F540. Thanks in advance!

you could always try to rip the music with Exact Audio Copy in advance (to wav then import in SS or mount as an image), as it is much better suited for ripping music without any errors... but then again, I dunno if EAC will work with those specs

my computer was running ss 2.1 and EAC perfectly fine and it was a Celeron 233 with only 64mb ram running Win 98 then later XP pro, so i think those "low end" specs they've got will do just fine :)

Great!, thanks for all the info! The problem is my CD drive, I can record from tape out on stereo perfectly.

kurisu, I'm trying to use SS3.2, but it does not like 98SE much. Every time I open SS it's the same thing,

Omgjbox caused blah, blah, blah! Just using Simple Burner 2.0 to record.

Thanks guys, this board is a great help!

Oh yes Kurisu, i would LOVE to upgrade to SS 3.2 or 3.3, but my computers at home don't have an internet connection and the stand alone installers have all failed due to some problem with direct x drivers. The only interent access i have is it uni and at friends houses, and i really can't be bothered taking my machines on public transport to a friends house and back just to update SS.

I just bought a brand new Hi-MD nh1 a week ago, and guess what? they still package it with SS 2.1, fantastic eh?
