darkangel
i wanna record my college classes(all my professors are okay with it) w/ my nf610, but it only has a line-in port. Can i just plug in a mic and record, or am I SOL? (BTW, I DONT want to get extra stuff, if possible...to bulky)
mercury_in_flames
the recording will come out very faint if you do. Not sure how faint though. otherwise its just spending money on more bulk. Edited November 10, 2005 by GregTheRotter
greenmachine
You won't be lucky with electret mics, they require a bias voltage, which is absent at the line-in, not to mention the lack of preamplification. You're better off with a different recorder with mic-in.
KrazyIvan
Yup, I have the NF610. Don't do any mic recording with it. I use my R900 or NHF800 for that. :-)
