Question

Just like many, many of you lot and aparently, half of Sony Walkman owners I'm having problems with software. The issues described with mine are on an exact par with the rest of the forum, but instead of waiting, sending the odd email why don't we do something about it? My suggestion is

Easy Option (Most Practical)

Set up a website, similar to the one documenting that the screen problems of the Apple iPod Nano (www.flawedmusicplayer.com - site offline) asking Sony to release some sort of patch so we can use our beloved Real Player, Windows Media or iTunes (or just release a DECENT SonicStage or Connect) If we get enough support it would really open Sony's eyes and end the 'curse' that aparently affects Sony's players.

Idea Taken From BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4286294.stm)

sorry for hijacking this thread, but i have only one tiny question:)

Im gonna buy the 3000 soon, but i wonder how to fix my songs so that they show right in the player.

look at the pictures.

exemple:

my mp3 songs has only the title, not the artist, BUT the artistname (pic 1 & 2) stands like an artist in the microsoft way. look at pic 1 and you see audioslave nearly in the middle. Thats where i have my artistname. At pic 2 i just show where I wright the artistname.

so, can i have it that way? Will the mp3.player "see" the artistname, or must I copy and paste it in the mp3 "filename"?.

Ill hope you understand, and sorry for my bad English.

Your English is fine. Welcome to the boards.

If your track titles are like those in picture 1.bmp, then don't worry. Connect Player should recognize the ID Tag and transfer it properly.

That said, you have to have the artist name in the track title for Connect to recognize it.

For example, looking at those pics, the Audioslave tracks should be easily recognized.

However, above them you have some Bad Boy Blue albums which CONNECT Player will probably list as "Unknown Artist".

You can then edit the tag either by using Connect Player or the tag editing program you show in 2.bmp

hmm..

well,, look at this picture:

the 2 rings are where audioslave is listed. So, I must have both to get it work? Or is it enough that I only have the name to the "right", or to the "left"? (right = middle in the picture) (left, exemple: Audioslave - set it off)

edit: if I have both, could the player make it like this: Audioslave - Audioslave - set it off. Because there are 2 "saved" audioslaves in the file.
