dam you did get a good deal, thats a pretty good entry level MD player. the one i got was an entry level one too, but it has a radio and thats the only difference. with LP4 mode you can get 5 hours of devent quality music on one disc so its much better than the mp3 player i got for the same price (64mb) lol. good eye man! seriously, if i had the chance id buy one of those. good luck with it, have much fun, i know i do with mine.

best regards, brian

For 29.99 I got a brand new MZ-NE410 and a pair of MDR-Q55 headphones for 99 cents! If this isn't a deal please tell me, it was marked down multiple times, the first price being $99.99. Oh yea, this was at Music Warehouse. :D

I wish some of these price blowouts would happen in Canada. I've heard of the MZNE410 being cleared out in the States in several stores for under $50. If I ever saw one for that price I would probably get it for everyday listening use, to save wear-and-tear on my recording MD walkman.

The cheapest I've EVER seen an MD walkman in Canada was $99, and that was a clearance of a demo model (MZ-510CK or whatever - bought it for my wife). The MZNE410 is currently going for $119 at Canadian Tire and $129 (Psyc model) at Wal-Mart Canada. Should be cheaper (especially if they want to compete with MP3 players).

Even though they are still high, prices have come down a lot, because even three years ago the cheapest MD walkman I could find in Canada was the MZ-505 which was around $200-$250 Canadian. No wonder the format was slow to adopt here.

At the Best Buy in Toronto (Eglinton/Laird) I saw an NE410 on clearance. Bad News? It was an opened model and comes with NO accessories whatsoever. The Good News? It was $30.

After last Christmas I bought a NH600D HIMD for $49.99USD at Circuit City. I also had a gift certificate for $25 so I walked out with it for around $30.

A year or so ago I bought a 510 Sony portable for $34USD clearenced at the Walmart I worked at.

About 5 years ago I bought a deck a Sony 310 w/portable player for a clearanced price of $99USD from Sears.

A year before that I bought a portable recorder for $55 from the same Sears. I can't remember which model but it used two AAs and had a magnesium body. That one was really nice it was my first minidisc also.

If it wasn't for these deals I never would have been into minidisc period, I just could not have afforded the regular retails back then.

I grew up so now I can afford to get stuff sooner and at regular prices. So I forked in my support and bought a RH910 for a $199 at a shop in Charlestown.POE
