FlatEarth
Have you tried budgetbatteries.com? I don't know if they will ship to where you are, but gumstick batteries were 5.50 US... a _whole_ lot cheaper, and they seem to be good quality...! Continuity
I'd have to look at those options, the gumstick batteries are around 35 CAD$ here. I have to order them online, the Sony Store doesn't hold them. Nor chargers.Oh, walked by the Sony Store here in Montreal, Canada and they just recieved 2nd gen Hi-MD players!! Got my RH-10 from Minidisc Canada a while ago, happy I didn't have to wait for the Sony Store to get them.Been watching for a while now, and it looked like Australia and Canada were on the same schedule for releasing MD player models. When Australia was pulled, I was getting worried. Anyone ever try the BC-7DC2 charger? Everywhere I look online the quality doesn't seem too good. Also not much information on cutoff or anything like that. The BC-7HT looks more robust.
WaywardTraveller
Gumstick batteries are TOO EXPENSIVE!1GB Disks are a RIP OFF! MD players are being phased out Gumstick batteries are kinda pricey...but 3rd-party ones aren't so bad.1GB disks are overpriced in Canada...so get 'em from Aus at 4.25AUD a pop Phased out? How many years have they been saying this? Anyone ever try the BC-7DC2 charger? Everywhere I look online the quality doesn't seem too good. Also not much information on cutoff or anything like that. The BC-7HT looks more robust.MZ, I'd like more info. if you have it. You mean the build quality has gotten complaints? Having owned the BC-7HT myself, I have nothing but good things to say about it - get a universal plug adaptor to go with it and you're happenin'! It's never failed me at all - the only gripe I have is that Minidisc Canada doesn't have it...so I was gonna try the BC-7DC2, since I can then charge two at once.peace.WaywardTraveller

Continuity
The BC-7HT is the one I would like. It's had nothing but good reviews.I noticed the double charger as well, but most people that I have contacted about it seem to suggest it is rebadged from another company and not actually a Sony. Not much good seems to be said for the BC-7DC2, most people say it doesn't even resemble a Sony. That it is most likely a rebadge.I really don't know, would love a comment concerning the BC-7DC2 from someone here on the board.
Ishiyoshi
The BC-7HT is the one I would like. It's had nothing but good reviews.I have the BC-7HT and I can vouch for its efficiency. It is the most reliable NiMH battery charger I have to date.
