Buying NW-A3000 online

i'm currently in the states over the xmas holidays visiting from australia and would like to know if any americans have purchased an a3000 online at all? i'd prefer to buy one from canada because of what i'd imagine would be cheaper postage, but i'd be open to suggestions (warranty would be a major consideration). i was in japan in late november and fell in love with these babies, i was devastated that there was no US release before xmas...

someone get back to me and post a link, my b'day's coming up and my gf wants to spend a bit of cash on me...

Well the thing is, the A3000 isn't available online except on sonystyle.ca, and I don't think they deliver outside of canada. So you are kind of out of luck trying to order the A300 yourself off sonystyle.ca. So far none of the other stores here in canada carry it yet except the sony store of course. Unless you try ebay of course, the canadian ebay might have some units on there.

But the smaller A1000 is available from other stores, but you can already get the 6 gigs in Aus. I am not sure it would be cheaper ordering the A3000 here, unless you are shipping it directly to the US, which of course might be cheaper if the person marks it as a gift and doesn't charge you an arm and a leg for the unit.

I am not too confident that the Sony Australia will honour the canadian warranty but I could be wrong. I would recommend either buying from japan or waiting for it to be released down under.

Buying from Japan will be better idea but only Overseas models (which has World Wide Warrenty ) but Sony Japan Doesn`t have A3000 in OVERSEAS MODELS catalog AS WELL so hard luck for you .I will recommened you to E-mail Sony regarding Warrenty concern...

I would recommend buyfromjapan if you have enough time to conduct the transaction while in the States. "buyfromjapan" is a reputable Japanese based eBay seller which most MDCF members frequent for Hi-MD units and accessories.

Actually, I know one site where you can order NW-A1000. It is www.himeyashop.com

You can click pre-order and see the second page (it is not really a pre-order but they just have it under there). Or you can custum order the item you wish.

The only problem is the price. I don't think that site provides you the best price, but it gets you the item you requested.
