Hi. :hi: I have had my Net MD mz-n510 now for over a year with no problems but recently for no apparent reason the volume is only about half of what it should be. The volume is up full and the battery is fully charged. I'm wondering if I changed some mute setting or something?

any help greatly appreciated.

Ta,

Strum

Have you switched on AVLS in the menus by mistake? Also try listening with different headphones.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Sorry but the AVLS I don't know what that is? and the headphones are fine, I've tried them on the pc and a conventional stereo system.

Thanks again

AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) if switched on prevents the volume rising beyond a certain level, supposedly to prevent damage to your hearing.

You can check if it is on by going to the menu OPTION => AVLS.

Sorry I found the avls and turned it off but the volume is still the same, very low...would it have something to do with the "sound settings? Just looking at them now...

Cheers
