Sony_Fan
I installed and played around with SS 3.4. For some reason, SS 3.4 seems to transfer slower, especially during MP3->Atrac3+ conversions. The album and artist layout is annoying. After transferring MP3s, and album folder is created for each track, which means I have to delete all the album folders and put the tracks under one single folder. I won't do any uploading and 256kbps is all I need. I'll stick with SS 3.3 for now.
raintheory
I noticed as well that when transferring tracks from HiMD (even mic-in tracks) SonicStage 3.4 will create separate new folders for each group on the HiMD... Rather annoying.

Rather annoying. For this particular issue you just need to switch off the Group Rec function on the unit. By default every set of recordings via mic/line in will be placed in a new group. By default every set of recordings via mic/line in will be placed in a new group.Well see I kind of like the group recording on the unit itself... It seems that SonicStage 3.4 renames any untitled groups temporarily while transferring (to HiMD and the date and time) and places the tracks in their respective group folders in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\Packages\(I say temporarily because I uploaded on a different computer after the initial upload on this one and the groups were untitled again, but on the initial upload it showed them renamed in the device panel of SonicStage)Previous versions simply placed all of the tracks in the HiMD folder in that location. If I get into the habit of naming the groups instead of the individual tracks, then this could be a blessing in disguise. I'll experiment and see what I can find out though. Perhaps if I move the tracks from the groups prior to uploading it won't do it. (fingers crossed) Edited February 3, 2006 by raintheory

I had 2 tracks put them in a blank group, deleted the 2 distinct values for the album name and then uploaded the group. This just created a single folder in my library with the album name defaulting to the name of the uploaded group. Top Cat
Really? I've been hoping for this as a feature since v2.1.Me too.Sometimes I don't replace the disc in the unit and make multiple sessions during a day, so this feature seems kinda handy.
