I have something like 30 or 40 cds (all legal) and i was wondering how many MDS that would equivilate to.
greenmachine
You can store anywhere from less than 30 minutes up to 45 hours of music on one disc, depending on what what mode, quality and disc you use.http://www.minidisc.org/hi-md_faq.html#_q93Pre Hi-MD machines can store 80/160/320 minutes on a 80min standard MD, depending on what quality you use. Christopher
Here is a good chart (NetMD = MDLP player):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiniDisc#Recording_modes
Alighero
thanks i looked around at some charts and i think ill go with the LP2 listings because it keeps at least a 128 kbps sound quality and the MD can hold 4 or 5 hours with it. About cd quality and i could fit maybe 4 or 5 cds on one.
pauljones52
Yes true if you buy a HIMD player and put LP2 on the reformatted discs, LP2 on a NET MD player will only fit about 2 albums per disc. Best way of doing it is listening to the different sound qualities available, and choosing one your happy with.
