Hi, from cold Russia!

MZ-N1 with aluminum body - is it possibly?

I have two of them, silver & blue - both plastic.

Yesterday I read internet offer, that sales N1 with METAL case.

May be N1 in metal - for Japan market?

From Russia wiht love,

Serj

(sorry for bad english)

I only know of the MZ-NH1 which is 1st gen Hi-MD and it's body is magnesium (but could easily be mistaken for aluminum)...

but obviously I'm talking about a different model  so ignore this post please

the body of the md recorder is metal, the carrying case in the picture is vinyl. to prevent any further misunderstanding.

OK.

Try to ask from the other side: is all MZ-N1 made with melal case or this is SE?

well i have one right on front of me & thought they were metal, although it is a very plastic-y, so you've got me doubting it too.

perhaps someone else can settle this for us?

For me - there in no daubt about material of my N1 case.

It is plastic! If it was metal I would easy repair it.

But case made from heat resistance plastic, I try to correct it with hot air (from soldering station about 200ºC) - no result.

I afraid make more temp. I don't need MD-burner :D

LOL, all N1's are magnesium, the only plastic parts are buttons, display, leds, swtiches and the battery hatch. Period. (that's why you can't "correct" the N1 with 200º, be careful as magnesium bursts into flames with more temperature ;))
