Sony_Fan
Does the full installer have the same features as the online installer from Sony? Or is the full installer more up to date? thanks. Edited March 3, 2006 by Chris G
metal
I didn't use the online installer before so I can't advise. But IIRC SS3.4 full installer should have similar features as SS3.3 full installer (other than of course it is SS3.4 and not SS3.3). The Low Volta
it is simply an offline installer for the exact same version of SS3.4 (the version without the connect store)they put SB2.0 in the package as well so there's only one download neededIf you have a version of 3.4 installed or you have a good internet connection, there is really no need for the offline installer (unless you'd like to download it as a safety backup just in case Sony stops hosting the online installer someday... but then kurisu will always have the offline installers available as well)

I thought these fixes were for SS 3.4 which would make it more up to date than the SS 3.4 released in January. The Low Volta
The reason I asked was because the post for the full installer says that it includes bug fixes. I thought these fixes were for SS 3.4 which would make it more up to date than the SS 3.4 released in January. Perhaps they were pointing to bug fixes in the installer (and not in SS3.4)... as I really do not think this is a new release of 3.4 (certainly not by Sony), this is only an offline installer compiled by a very helpful member of these forums: Daijoubu. It is released a bit later just because he had to make sure the installer works perfectly, not because there was a newer version of 3.4 already. It really is the January 'no-connect' version of 3.4 put in an offline installer as far as I know, just as it was with previous offline installers for previous versions... Of course a confirmation of this by Daijoubu or kurisu could settle this.just saw the post Chris G refered to... it is indeed not really clear what's meant, but I still very much doubt that kurisu or daijoubu had the possibility of ironing bugs out of the program itself, only out of the installer... Sony_Fan
Here's the link to the post i was referring to. Read the first paragraph:http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=11889Also, when i used the full installer, it notified me that it updated Simple Burner. Is this a new version of SB? The version i had before was from the download section. Edited March 3, 2006 by Chris G
The Low Volta
I still have the 'old' SB from the downloads section so you can compare:-SB version: 2.0.04.18080-OpenMG version: 4.4.00.11241probably the installer did just install SB without checking for the version of a previously installed one... the one in the downloads section (which is probably included in the installer as well) should be the newest as it hasn't been updated in a long timebut as you can see by 'probably' I can't say anything for sure... just speculating
