nice, i like it; didn't know it was a Holiday or a Holi;

is this "Copywrited"; i would like to use it in some of my piano students DVD/Video projects we do. but, if it is copywrited, i will honor that.

I'm not Indian, but Happy Holi, Stuge. The Indian Student Association at my university likes to throw exhibitions of their dancing, clothing, food, and culture for Holi and Diwali (sp?). It's pretty cool and the music is interesting. But, I could never get myself to finish that yogurt drink.

Rayzray it is HOLI not Holiday..Festival celebrated in India with colours ..

I got that picture from "net glimse.com " so it is copywrited.This picture was made to send an e -cards..

that yogurt drink is called "BHANG" some people mix cannabis(Narcotic) .In my house we don`t use that substance .So i don`t advise people to drink that .As cannabis is a banned substance .

Also these days we use Herbal colours b`coz synthetic colours are dangerous they contain mercury ,lead,nickel ..very harmful for metabolism & can cause kidney faliure etc..

But Goverment have still not banned those synthetic colours ..I don`t know why ..they should have done that by now ..

So I don`y go outside my house during this period .I play holi only in my house.

I also don`t drink bhang b`coz of its horrible taste.

well; i LOVE that pic; and happy Holi back to you, Stuge, and will look into your link later on the Indian holiday.

maybe i can invite my 13 (thirteen) grandchildren over and gine them some bright paint and make their own; like re-paint one of my purple and pike walls in my studio in the image of your pic. with a footnote; not footfrint; saying: "Inspired bu the Indian Holiday - Holi" or something like that.

they can't be "Real Time" blown; if you lood at each glob/blob; each one is identible.. look at the tenticles (sp).. they are perfect replicals;; i think it's just a PC program; and you fill in the colors.

if it is; they it can't be "colpwrited"; cuae anyone could use the same program and get the same results; not that i want to steal it; i will still homonr the "copywrite"; but there is something fishy there. lol. j/k.

like i still love the pic/poster/or what ever.

LOL, I doubt they used cannabis in their version of bhang considering they have to get past the VERY strict university and state rules and must be closely monitored with multiple adult/faculty sponsors when providing food to the public and students. I saw them "prepare" the yogurt drink. They basically poured it out of a small soda can and served it in little cups. Instant bhang.

Tjat`s why i added only some people not all .I don`t know where to get this in India(Can be get through illegal ways) .It was used traditionally but now people have realised that it is harmful & so people don`t use .

this gives me an idea; i want to sort out the squerrils that come every morning. if i can blow paint of them (non-toxic) ; i can keep tract of them; and figure out if i have like 10 coming to eat; or, 3 or 4 coming back for seconds. i think they are duping me and take advantage of me.

i want to catch them "Red Handed" (Footed)..

(maybe being retired give me just too much time on my hands)

Idea is good but how will you put colour on them?? ..That colour might go into their eyes ..They are cute little creatures .

i was thinking of puttint the end of the blow tube next to the peanuts i put out;; and blow a tiny bit of paint on their tail or foot;;

then a different color for the next critter and so on.

but, your're right; i shouldn't take the chance of hurting them; i will just do it the old faschioned way; i'll name them and see if they remember their names.

i'll call the first one "Holi".. lol

Holi Is Today (15th March this year{date keeps on changing acc to Hindi Calendar ) .It is only for one day in most of the north ...I have seen that there are somw places where it is celebrated for two or three days ..
