Richard
Depending on what it is you are buying you may need a step-down power transformer depending on the voltage input of the item and almost certainly a US/JP to UK plug convertor. bogon07
As Richyhu says depends on what you are going to get.For Minidisc units you should not have any trouble with the USB connection to you PC which will power the unit. Your main concern with be the DC adaptor. Some dealers sell WorldTouristModels and if they are like my NHF800, come with a very large plug unit with a voltage selector and a plug pin coverter to fit the power point. Damage
Also, if you're the clumsy or the unlucky type, you might want to steer clear of importing units. Warranties and Guarantees may save you money if you buy within your own territory (EU models in UK, US models in US, etc) but it may not hold water if you import. Aside from that and the obvious Voltage differences, if you're the reading type, the Manual and the pack in software will be in a different language. But you can find what you need from here. pata2001
Japan units have been shipping with universal AC adaptor since at least last year. US units still ship with 110V adaptors only.
