i'm sorry if this question was already discussed somewhere on this forum

i have sony mz-n510. SonicStage 3.4 let me transfer song on my net md in three modes : lp4 (<105 kbps), lp2 (132 kbps) and sp mode.

so what is bitrate of sp mode? what maximum bitrate can i use in my net md?

it's mean that actually i can play on my net md song with maximum bitrate 132 kbps? or there's some another way (soft) to transfer songs on net md files with bitrate higher that 132 kbps?

i think it's stupid to manufacture portable player capable play back in bitrate nearly 300 kbps and make soft that can only transfer files on this device in almost half lower bitrate.

Well whilst it may not be a major consolation the technology thankfully moved on and improved with Hi-MD and now we can rip and transfer in 352K and PCM.
