Since I bought it (now I have a Hi-MD, so I don't bother too much) my MZ-N505 had problems with the buttons. When hitting FFW sometimes it goes to play or to stop. When hitting stop, sometimes goes to play...

It's very annoying...

I think there are countless units with this problem, included mine.

Myself I just have been living with it. It is just one more proof how much severely

sony cuts production costs resulting in hardware and software faults.

(I remember the nylon spring, instead of metal, of the lens of an old MD model).

The NH900 is another example of faulty button operation.

Eh? You're living with it? You posted on this forum that you sold your malfunctioning NH900 as "NEW" to some unsuspecting person on eBay. You got your money back (probably a good portion of it) in a very underhanded way so you should be relatively content. It's time for you to move on so go shop for your Sharp MD unit like you said you would and be done with the NH900 gripes. After all, life is too short to spend it grumpy about a unit that you no longer own. Peace.

jaylen you should just read more carefully if you want to state a judgement.

1. I'm living with a N505 with same buttons problems.

2. The NH900 was BRAND NEW !

I even included my own wall charger for my country, as the one included was from UK.

ok, I know I have contributed to this as well, but I guess it's time to let the 'Shion selling a malfunctioning NH900 for new'-issue rest...

so I for one promise to not mention this again (unless Shion makes a remark on ethics etc or tries to sell stuff here)

but please Shion stop making (lousy! it was brand new AND MALFUNCTIONING which you forgot to mention, and wow a charger so now he can charge but can't really enter the menu) excuses for what you've done: just accept that by telling us you have ruined your rep with a bunch of us who think honesty and ethics are quite important... get over it and stop defending your actions

as far as I'm concerned...case closed

(if anyone feels the need to continue this... use PM please, these boards are too much fun to use as a battlefield)

Shion: I finished what I had to say to you about your NH900 and selling practices in ChrisG's MORE RECENT thread. So for me, ever since that newer ChrisG thread, this issue was over and done with. But, you just had to dig up this old thread, eh?

By the way, I HAVE read more carefully and you've said enough to make me feel that my stated judgement is fair and warranted. Enjoy your Sharp and move on like the rest of us have already.

Alright OK, peace. -_-

Nevertheless ! I'm still hoping to reach that somebody that knows whether sony recognized this issue, or not, thus continuing to produce other defective units.

Even later on HiMD units they pursued the same flaw with the buttons if not with the OS.

Something so elementary how is that possible ?

By the way is MDF known from some sony engineer ?
