Taka
All of a sudden the errormessage "Can not locate the files required to open the database. Exiting SonicStage" appears when I start SonicStage. I did not understand, because last time it worked fine, and nothing that I know of has changed. But something must have been changed of course, although I don't know what. Anyway, it made me a bit angry, especially after I was pushed to buying music online - which I don't want to do, I want to record stuff with my minidisk, and nothing else.Ok, so I went to download the latest version of SonicStage. A new installation would surely fix the problem I thought. That was an adventure in itself. It seems that Sony thinks you need Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher just to download a file. I guess they never heard of other browsers. No, I understand, Sony supposes that everyone who is using a MiniDisk will use it to buy online music. But not me. I simply wanted a small device to make digital recordings with a microphone. Apparently that possibility never occurred to Sony. But ok, after starting up another browser and visiting a page where I could download music (which I did not want to do - did I tell you that already?), there was a link where I could download an installer for SonicStage.Did it, installed it, rebooted as requested. And what happens? Right: "Can not locate the files required to open the database. Exiting SonicStage"I found another thread about the issue (http://forums.minidisc.org/lofiversion/index.php/t14678.html), no answer though, just that the person found another file to download. That is however of no use, because it is a program to transfer MP3 to a minidisk. What I need is a program to get the stuff I recorded from the minidisk to HD, so I can convert it to WAV and edit it.What is the problem? And more importantly: how can I solve it?- Win98SE- SonicStage (after latest install) version 3.4- MD: MZ-NH700 Edited April 23, 2006 by Taka

Richard
No, because I can not download it. I can't login there. Should just be able to use your regular user / password. If that doesn't work, please PM Kurisu or one of the other mods to see why you can't login to the downloads area.

The Low Volta
sometimes passwords with special symbols don't work in the downloads section... if you have any symbols in there, just change your password to something without and try it again... if it still doesn't work, just PM a Mod/Admin
