mark_melb
Can anyone give me some advice on how I can use my Sony MZ-NHF800 as a player onto my Sony Hi-Fi Amplifier?
A440
Does the amplifier have an AUX input? Connect the headphone output to the AUX input and crank it up.
KJ_Palmer
Also set sound to 'Normal' to avoid getting distortion and other equaliser effects.
mark_melb
HOW ABOUT CONNECTION TO THE MD/TAPE INPUT? WOULD THAT DO THE SAME AS AUX?

62v8
Fellas,Just be aware that the headphone o/p is not line level. It's a long way down and you'll have wind the crap out of the amp.GT
mark_melb
GT, this is why I was asking for something more than simply "plug it in". Is there an optimum volume so that minimum distortion is received. Obviously 100% (Volume of 30) may be pushing it.
greenmachine
If the internal EQ is disabled, even the maximum volume setting shouldn't produce any significant distortion as long as there are no low impedance headphones connected. But why not try for yourself and reduce it if necessary?
mark_melb
I might give it a go on the weekend and post/document the results/suggestions. Thanks all. I'll be back. Mark, Melbourne, Australia
Sparky191
I use my MH700 via its earphone to an amp/midi system with no problems what so ever. Can't imagine why you'd have a problem with volume though. Edited May 29, 2006 by Sparky191
