Kit
When I first saw it, I was amazed at the size of it. I totally loved it and then after a while I hated it. Purely because it wasn't a Sony. I really love to hate it but at the end, I just can't because it's truly beautiful, simple clean looks. And the color screen. Wow. Again, like other Sony fans, when is our Sony gonna provide something similiar, if NOT BETTER.What about you? What were ur first impressions?? Guest Stuge
Before I got E505 I was planning to Buy I-Pod Nano .Sleek & Looks Great (Esp the Black One ) But than I dropped the Idea of Buying It is Just because It gets scratched up too easily .But I admit that I-pod has more choice of accessories than Network Walkman . bangraman
What were ur first impressions??I wonder if they'll have it in stock tomorrow Actually, the E507 material for example is not any less scratch-proof as such. However the black Nano (like the 5G) has a very flat, gloss-black substrate that really shows off the scratches really well. In my case, in my first week of ownership of the Nano I managed to drop it onto a train floor face down, then involuntarily give it a little kick so that it grittily slid across the floor. The results are below... I doubt any other player would have fared any better. Polycarbonate is easy to get hairline scratches in which don't impede actual operation, but it is harder to deeply scratch. Anyway, you can buy any number of cases for it these days... including my rather belated acquisition, the Agent 18 Nanoshield... a very cool case. Ascariss
Product wise, it a is genius move by apple, (why are we talking about it now lol, it was released some time ago)uhm, size wise it is nice and much smaller than most out there, but it looks boring and too simple, but that is what the masses love.As for scratches, a member of my forum posted a picture of their black nano after 1 week of use, lovely scratches and soo many beautiful swirls of small lones all over the thing. lolin contrast, i've dropped my A3000 once on a bus floor and carry it around with no cover, usually in my pocket, and it has fared better any ipod i've seen. I've been using it 1 month now if not longer. here is his ipod:http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/1428/x1pa...mtlk6vgv7ic.jpgsorry, after 1 week of use and it looks like that, I want some kind of money back or partial refund. Damage
I wonder if they'll have it in stock tomorrow I hope so. I dearly hope so.You might be the only person I know of that uses Nano with those Qualias (so would I if I had one, mind you, I wonder if you can transmit the jealousy that I have at this moment)...At anyrate, now that I've been kicking it with the iPod since October, November, I can say that I like it when I pair it with something that gives a nice bass kick to it. Otherwise, I tend to gravitate to my Rio CE 2110 (the most brilliant Chatruese DAP ever) more often.
bangraman
I think that if you took a flash picture of your uncased A3000 in the same way, you'd see a similar pattern of micro-scratches. Neither are an impediment to daily operation.Damage, generally speaking I use the Sennheiser HD25-1 with the Nano. A mostly open big-ass headphone is not always practical of course Soundwise the only major annoyance is that unlike the 5G, they left the EQ of the Nano hanging at the 4G level... i.e. very noticeable distortion if you kick in one of the major bass-boosting presets with high-gain files. Since I very rarely use EQ, that's not a problem in my case but I can see how it might be an issue for some.

Neither are an impediment to daily operation.I doubt that. I had an A1000 for a week and it had no visible scratches (to the naked eye that is). I got a Nano, and a few hours later it already had visible scratches. The E407 I've had for a year has a few microscratches, but nothing easily visible contrary to the Nano after two months.
