1jano
Hi,I need your help-SS3.4 won't load up on my PC any more. Actually It loaded and worked fine when I installed it, but when I was going to use it few weeks later, few seconds after starting to load a message popped up:-------------------------------------------------------------SonicStage (00000908-7628) The selected music file cannot be played back because the system information has been changed. Click OK to automatically close SonicStage and open the SonicStage System Information Restore Tool. (Error Code: 00004e2e)-------------------------------------------------------------When I click OK, another message pops up:----------------------------------------------------------Step 1. Database authentificationTHE SonicStage System Information Restore Tool restoresmusic files that have been rendered unplayable for some reason, such as as by the System Restore feature in WindowsME or Windows XP.SS will authenticate your database on the I'net.... be sure you are connected...-----------------------------------------------------------That PC is not connected to the I'net.(PC- P4 1.6GHz) Originally I installed ver.2.1, which came with my MZ-NHF800 and then I upgraded to 3.4 (full installer ver. since that PC is not connected to the I'net.)Any idea what may be going on?Appreciate your help. 1jano
Thank you ARTAIN, I downloaded the file, but it came out as "CSRepair.exe" is it the same? As I said the PC is not connected to the I'net, so I hope it's OK. It's almost midnite so I will try it tomorrow, and will let you know what happened. Also how can I edit my post? I couldn't see any edit buttons.Once more thanks.
1jano
Well, I am back and still can't get it running. I downloaded "MDAC-repair.exe" and also "WindowsXP KB829558-x86-ENU.exe", run them both, but they didn't find anything wrong. I tried to reinstall it few times but still nothing. Any other suggestions? I am running WinXP Pro SP2.
Richard
I would suggest you try a full uninstall as described here (use the backup tool if you need to backup any tracks - assuming that is actually working) re-install from cd and upgrade that to 4.0 using the links here
