dogville
I know I have to put up with it cause there's no other way to use my RH-1 (and don't mention SB cause it is even worse), but I'm sick of this nasty software. Here you are two captures of these messages I hate SO MUCH. They repeat so often that it is driving me nuts.I know it is in Spanish, but sure some of you know these errors even in Spanish. Richard
I think a lot of the issues you are experiencing Dogville are unfortunately due to the environment Sonic Stage is running in. Are you doing system restores in Windows? I only ask as this is the second error you have reported relating to the system information changing or something very similar? Are you doing system restores in Windows? I only ask as this is the second error you have reported relating to the system information changing or something very similar?I don't know why I need to do system restores in windows Richyhu. Sonicstage has always worked this way since I first install it. I don't see the need of system restores. I understand that would be useful if the programe had worked fine from the beginning and it had failed later. It's not the case since it has never worked correctly. Sometimes it works and others don't. Sorry but I'm really upset with this.thanks for you kind attention
Richard
No - I'm not advising System Restores - indeed the exact opposite. I just thought that might be what was causing some of these problems as I see a lot of messages about system info changing. Are you by any chance using some system utils that clean the registry as SS is definitely not happy about something in there... raintheory
Not sure if this could be the culprit... but you don't by chance have multiple hard drives set up in a RAID array do you?
dogville
Not sure if this could be the culprit... but you don't by chance have multiple hard drives set up in a RAID array do you?I'm not very good at those kind of questions. I have two hard discs partitionedone has the XP and a partition for programmesthe other 5 partitions for dataI don't know if they are in a RAID array. I will try to find it out. What happens if the are in RAID array. Please be so kind to be simple on the explanation because my computer knowledge is not to wide. How can that affect to SS?thanks Edited August 8, 2006 by dogville

I'm going to reboot now and then let's see if this solves anything. As for the registry cleaning, I use registry mechanic". Any other better program to do this task?thanks Edited August 8, 2006 by dogville

May be you are right and the "system restore" had something to do with it. Or is it just an illusion? . I'm beginning with the third cd... time remains to be seen I'll keep you posted bye Edited August 8, 2006 by dogville
dogville
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE [attachmentid=1938][attachmentid=1939][attachmentid=1940]I'm about to shout out loud It is not very usual to do what the third capture says and once SS has been restored, it fails again. KrazyIvan
kill any active registry mechanic processes.
Richard
2nd that. The system info changing error is I'm pretty sure due to an over zealous registry cleaner tool. We've had issues like this in the past. Disable it asap (or at least stop it deleting Sony related keys).
KrazyIvan
To be honest. If you are not that versed in registry editing you should really leave that registry mechanic alone.

It is not working when I use sonicstagethanks To be honest. If you are not that versed in registry editing you should really leave that registry mechanic alone. What do you mean with "leave it alone"?. It's not loaded on the boot. I'm going to uninstall it.
dogville
This might be useful to help me. This is the process open right now. Any suspicious ones?[attachmentid=1941]thanks
KrazyIvan
When are you defragmentations scheduled to be performed? I see that you have pdsched.exe running. I think that is a defragmentation utility. You are also running snag-it. I personally disable it from running on my work system just because it causes a lot of strange errors. I only run it when I need it then kill it. If tschelp.exe does not go away when you stop snag-it, stop it also. It is part of snag-it. Other than that the processes look pretty clean.I forgot, you are logging in as administrator. That is a security no-no. Just thought I would mention it. Oh, yeah, one more edit. Just because you are not running the reg cleaner it can change registry settings that affect Sonic Stage when you do use it. dogville
It's strange because I use PERFECT DISK and doesn't load at the startup (I've disabled it). I use it only when I want to defrg and I don't have any other defrag toolIt's on the capture since I use it to upload the one on my post. I normally open it only when I want to capture something. It's not on the startupHow can I do to not login as administrator?. Is it better to login as a user?I uninstalled Registry Mechanic yesterday but SS fails just the sameThank you very much for your kind help
