Supplied Headphones?

Ya, they are just MDR-E931SP with colour coordination. These are the BEST supplied headphones I've ever seen AS LONG as you have the foam covers. If you don't have the foam covers they suck. There is a Sony parts distributor near me and I got 10 pairs from them, but they are also supplied with stand alone Sony earbuds.

P.S. I still can't understand why Sony isn't supplying the covers which cost them less than 1 cent to make with all their bundled headphones nowadays.

best? hardly, they are not that comfortable for me, but the sound is very nice though and so far does beat any other headphones that I have recieved as stock units.

a bit different sound than the ex71s though, which are still my favourite of all the headphones I've used.

but if you aren't planning on replacing your stock buds, then the 931s are a fine set.

best? hardly,

Well, for a stock bud, they're pretty good, if not the best. The only better stock bud is probably the EX51 included with some MD player units. For comfort, I highly suggest getting those foam covers.

I saw a pair of E931's in a high-end AV/Electronics store for $200HKD (~$24 US??)... Is that about right or expensive, because this store is known for marking up prices like crazy because it's in a fancy shopping mall. I haven't seen them anywhere else yet so I can't give you a price comparison, but I'd like to get a pair of back-ups in case the ones I have now muck up. Plus, I think they were full-length phones. Not short-length like the NWA3000 supplied phones.

Well, Audiocubes is selling them for $29, so there you go. :) Pricey, considering you can get the EX71 for $29, at least in the US.

Even bass is less with Bundled headphones.Who wants to stick wiht those bundled phones but at the same time i`m confused people using bundled earphones of I-sheep (white earphones ).Atlaest E931 is beeter than that .

Well, I lost my EX71s because I left the back-pocket of my school bag open  . Now I have to put up with the rubbish old stock phones that came with my A3000 (Still in the packet!) and they don't even fit in my ears, pop out instantly :( . Not as bad as the strange shaped Fontopias I once bought which were very uncomfortable and painful.

Anyway, I'm looking into getting Panasonic's RP-HJE50s as soon as possible, apparently they're quite good, and slightly cheaper than the EX71s :) .

I have a pair of EX71's (actually I bought them for my dad)but the problem is I really don't like them because I find the bass is too heavy and over-exaggerated. My aunt and uncle are in the hi-fi manufacturing business and conditioned me into believing heavy bass =/= good sound quality. As a result, my ears have become more sensitive to lower frequencies and hurt after listening with the EX71's for a while. I also like being able to hear what is going on around me, because I listen a lot and I jay-walk.

I tried listening with different EQ settings and making a custom profile but I still think the 931's are perfect.

I don't suppose anyone with a black A-series walkman will want to donate their pair?

Where can you get the ex71s for 29 US?

also aren't the 888s supposed to be good as well?

Amazon.com sometimes has it for sale. I've never seen the E888 being used as a stock bud though, and they're not that easy to find at retailers, unless you go to ebay or import.
