riotshield
i use the rh-10 for almost a year now and the gumstick battery doesnt hold as long as it used to be. i need to charge the battery once a week when i used to need to charge every 3 weeks or so, using it the same time every day. is this normal.where could i buy a new one for cheap? it seems that there are so many fakes out there
greenmachine
Try discharging it completely before fully recharging from now on. If you're lucky, it just suffers from the memory effect and will recover by itself. If this was your common practice already, the battery propably suffers from age/too many cycles and needs to be replaced.

Superbaldguy
Despite Sony's claims on working life of their NiMH gumsticks, I can get about a year and that's it. This would be classd as a "maintenance item" for MD units, like getting new tires for a car.......
The Low Volta
GP powerbank sells 1350 (or 1400)mAh gumstick batteries (and an external charger as well) at reasonable costs... look for the charger as it comes with two sticks I believe and charging externally is a good thing as well (numerous instances of battery swelling are known)
