I have A3000 which cant produce clean stereo at line out and i need to know how about mz-rh1

If you please you can try simple test:

I made test file

and save it in two formats as wav 44 24 and mp3 320

http://rapidshare.com/files/13383323/stereo_test.rar.html

File contains 12 clicks in left (ONLY left channel) and then 12 clicks in right (ONLY right channel) and same again

If you takeout one of headphone (left or right) - after 12 clicks you hear total lack of sound (Silence)

Thats right?!

I found it realy strange: unit cost about 300 $ and have unuseble function like line out. Which way i can use that "stereo effect"? In headphones it unnessesory but for simulate real speakers, but what hell its doing in line out? Simulate speakers on speakers or to enchance copy that i need? Why it have no reverb and distorsion that i love so much?! Seems like some people would love to show cheep electronics with hi-fi or hi-end label on it, of coz for same hi-fi price. May be I am blind?

P.S.

+ USB 1 speed and eject button and ... - seems like sony's leading in portable audio segment goin to zero.

It is working rather well for me as a recorder of live music. When recording in stereo the channels are nearly identical, eh? Reverb, etc. can be added as post processing which seems the most proper way to me, too. I am sure the other board member join me in sorrow that it does not meet your specific and somewhat odd needs.

Cheers B)

Sassha You will need to record to the MD from a Mixing board that has dicrete panning ability with a high " Crosstalk " ratio

Mackie , or Allen Heath ( they make small ones ) But put the mic thru the mixer then to the line in on the MD , Panning the mic Hard( all the way ) right or left will cut the sound from the other side . If you try to record to the MD directly from the mics , it will pick up on both sides.

Just tried the above files on my RH1. I fed the unit's line out into my notebook via a really poor cable (designed for remote control, not audio). Even with this cable there was no noticeable crosstalk, if I can trust my ears and my eyes (in Adobe Audition). Same for the "Headphone" mode.

Did You try my test? My friend try line out of Sony MZ-NH900 and unit have 15% or so crosstalk in both modes of OUT. I need realy clean left and right for speakers and for direct recordings whithout computer.

Test simple to do with earbugs headphones - just place one earbud in ear and close other one in hand for isolate it sound from ears. Beeps on my record will sound loud and then ... soft

Please advise.

RH1 model
